Totally expected from both teams a thight checking, good goal tending with very few mistakes game. On to game two, Go Cats.

Historically, the difference between winning game 1 at home and losing it is 74.9% series success vs 43.5%. This was a huge positive step. Also, those of you who are worried about Vasy and his history against us, he didn't exactly have an off-day….2 goals saved above normal. The numbers say he was his old playoff self today.
Panthers have home ice advantage. Which is nice.

Good game, gonna be a good series. That call at the end was just the refs trying to even it up for stats so at the end it didn't look so lopsided.

I saw another fan mention it was the loudest they've heard Amerant and I completely agree. Was there as well, voice is gone. We are going to beat Tampa as long as we continue to play our game. In fact, if we play our game I fo not see a team beating us in a 7 game series. I have game 2 in Sunrise and 3 Everblades games this week. Great week of hockey in South Florida, love it
The biggest takeaway for me at least was the energy of each line. Genuinely could see how they’re for real about the “Redemption” good game 1 but 3 more to go
Today was the best hockey we have seen this season. The first 10-12 minutes of the first period was hands down the best hockey I have ever seen this team play. Our defense was just suffocating them all game long, poke check, fore check, all over every Tampa player. Took so much weight off of Bob all game long. When we said the team wasn’t playing 100% we just assumed but today they proved us right. The Cats flipped the switch tonight and I was thrilled to be in the building!! On a sad note now that there are no points I don’t know what to say after we win!!!!

Didn't think we played all that great, feel like we have another level or 2, the 4th line won us this game and Bob was money, Bolts are so overmatched 5 on 5 it's comical, I'll be absolutely shocked if this series goes more than 5 games

As a Lightning fan I wanted to die watching the way you guys beat us to every puck and had our passing habits scouted. WTF. And we didn't even stand up physically to show backbone. Bolts need to escalate their level of everything or this is gonna be a short series.

Great game by the Cats. Bolts need to learn to skate or it will be a quick series. Great execution of a game plan for the Cats. I feel like this is going to be a goalie series tho
