A great reminder that season play ≠ playoff play. Guys can struggle during the season but turn it on when it truly matters. Another example is Goody. He looks in top form. Nevermind the 2 assists in Game 1, he’s at almost 58% faceoffs, hasn’t committed any penalties, and is tied for the team lead with +2. Yes, he’s paid more than he should be, but guys like him are ***built*** for the playoffs. I kind of look at it as two different parts of the year: he’s worth about $1.5 million during the season, but during the playoffs you could make the argument he really earns that other $2.1 million with shutdown play, reliability, and veteran experience.
