This is an amazing, can’t be overstated just how much, save. It’s been a long time since I’ve heard a peep about Bob’s 10mil price tag and this save perfectly illustrates why. Somewhere, somehow this team exorcised every bit of quit out of them. This save was athletic and a bit lucky, but more than anything it shows a goalie unwilling to give up on a stop. Hopelessly out of position, facing the wrong direction, Bob was still trying to stop that puck. I don’t know if it’s PoMo, or Tallas, or Chucky, or what, but somewhere along the last 14 months this team lost the ability to give up and even the goalies have bought into that.
