  1. You won't if you cannot get the goaltending straight and engage Leon more into the offense. No one cares about some single player video game stats if you lose it all.

  2. So tired of the Oilers defense being a perennial Swiss cheese of the year contestant.

  3. This is what happens when you spend all your money on forwards and dont have good defence or tending

  4. Instant classic in one of the more underrated playoff rivalries in the Western Conference. Like most Kings fans, I was conflicted about how I felt about the Kings facing the Oilers for the 3rd time in a row in the 1st round. On the one hand, you want to see progress, but on the other hand, it's good to get the monkey off your back as a team. I think it's working out for me leaning towards the latter. If they can't beat the Edmonton Oilers, then are the Kings real Cup Contenders? I think that if they can make it out of this series, they will have a level of confidence boosted in them that will make them scary the rest of the playoffs. Go Kings Go! Thanks for the great analysis, as always.

  5. Series have always been game to game momentum never transfers from one game to another. After game one everyone was saying oilers are going to steam roll the kings. Now i see here eveyone saying upset for the kings. The truth is somewhere in tbe middle. If the formula continues to play out like the past two years they will spilt the LA games as well and game 5 is going to be the decider who goes on.

  6. I'm so ready for the same Oilers problems to rear their ugly head again and again until they once again lose in disappointing fashion.

  7. LA is the better 5v5 team and I think if they can improve their PK even more after tonight and figure out how to score just one PPG a game they take this series.

  8. The Talbot chants in game one, I could understand. The Oilers were up 4-0 and 6-2 in the game. But when the game is still close, the last thing you should do is start giving the away team even more motivation… Oilers fans were sure dumb tonight.

  9. It was pretty obvious that before the playoffs the Oilers goaltending was their weak spot. I don't know why they decided to not get another goalie.

  10. Long post follows with base game statistics including some for the LA Kings. Read, don't read, up to you. These are BASE stats not detailed ones. My comments at the end.

Another game I only have stats for. LA won the game in OT. Stats wise Oilers 1 for 3 on the PP and 100% on the PK again. It was actually a pretty even game for hits, faceoff wins, giveaways, takeaways, blocked shots. Series is tied so LA did their got and got the split so now they kind of have home ice advantage. Oilers need to win at least one of the 2 in LA to bring it back in line. I couldn't listen to the game and the bandages are on my eyes fairly early in the morning onward so it's all just math to me. Take care all.

Hope you enjoyed the stats and take care all.

  11. I was at the game and thought the same thing about the Talbot chants. Why give them motivation when we havent even scored a goal yet? Understand the time and place Oiler fans

  12. The Kings seem to routinely give the Oilers fits so this doesn't surprise me. On another note, if refs aren't calling penalties equally I don't see what the fuss is about. The fact that they let the teams play pretty much during the playoffs is a good thing in my opinion.

  13. Was changing back and forth between this game and vegas v dallas. This was way more entertaining for someone who isnt a fan of any of the teams. The other game was horribly boring

  14. I was amused by the Oiler's fans' uneducated taunts of Talbot. Atempting to taunt the goalie when you're losing by 2 goals? I don't even think the Vegas fans are that lame.

  15. Not too worried as an oilers fan, it was one of our worst defensive games of the year and we still BARELY lost.

  16. Holy shit I saw the funniest shit . Made me laugh out loud. Colorado fans and maybe opposing fans , came up with the nickname for Georgiev calling him Fourgiev because he kept giving up 4 or more goals. Well tonight I saw someone use that for Skinner calling him FourSkin 😂😂😂😂😂😂

  17. Oilers will NEVER be genuine cup contenders with their current goaltending. Skinner is about as overrated as they come.
