@Maple Leafs de Toronto

J’en ai tellement marre de la « gestion du jeu ». Il reste 5 minutes, match 1-1. Même les Bruins arrêtent de jouer parce que c’est une décision tellement évidente

To be fair, the more this series is played at 5v5 the better for us. Refs putting their whistles away will help us the way our Special teams are doing

  2. beesteaboyz

The problem with calling that is that we get the next one with 2 or less minutes left or in OT. Let them play.

Its sports entertainment not real sports anymore. Dont tell me this a real league when the rulebook is a suggestion and refs openly talk about « managing the game »….. garbage semi pro league. Just thinj about who runs Refs and Ops for the NHL. Walkom and Campbell. Both shouldeve been fired in 2011. NHL is a joke

Honestly thought yesterday’s refs were much better then in some past games.

Seemed to not take alot of Bruins BS and actually called the coincidental on Holberg and Marchand when they were wrestling each other.

  5. Worrywort___

I’m not really bothered by that one because jarnkrok should’ve got a coincidental penalty for embellishment there, so it evens out.

  6. IAmTheBredman

That game felt like they were letting stuff go pretty equally tbh. Our powerplay just loses us momentum now, so I’d rather they let that shit go

  7. DownTownBrown28

The Leafs are like 1 for 15 on the powerplay. The less penalties called against the Bruins the better at this point.

  8. Wonderful-Smoke843

We can really say shit with how our power play performs lol those units are as cold as ice probably better they don’t get more time anyways

  9. WhoJustShat

Just to go 1/18 on the PP and still go to overtime

  10. billyshin

Home ice and power plays are actually bad for us.

No, I don’t think Leafs fans can argue about refs this series. Realistically, it has been managed and favoured for both sides. Yesterday, it was going towards the Leafs. Tomorrow, it will be Boston’s. It also doesn’t help that the Leafs scored 1/14 on the PP Game 1-3.

**By not wanting to influence games, referees are influencing games!**

It’s the one thing I can’t stand about this stupid sport – more than the salary cap, or anything else. These games shouldn’t be held privy to the whims of the officials and their interest in « fairness ».

Fuck fairness. A penalty is a penalty. Call it.

  13. OzzyBuckshankNA

Dude how the fk are you complaining about the refs last game?

  14. banyanoak

Habs fan here. Rooting for you guys because screw the Bruins, Dangle deserves to be happy, and his dog deserves treats. Go Leafs Go, you bastards.

  15. The only thing I’d say is the Leafs got away with stuff too in the 3rd. There was one shift though where Boston was just outright tackling guys because they knew nothing was going to get called. Honestly, the Leafs are better off with the series being played at 5 on 5 right now outside of getting a power play with like 2 minutes left in a 1-goal lead.

Another example of 4th line dominating B’s first line as long as Reavo is benched for Jarnkrok

Game management will never go away because, as much as hockey fans claim to hate it, look how they actually react to the games they watch.

If their team is penalized more than the other in a game, hockey fans will scream until they’re red in the face about how refs are bias and screwing them. If the refs penalize their team in the last 5 minutes of a tied game, fans will scream that the refs “handed the other team the game.”

Every call against a fan’s team is a dive or soft. Every time a fan’s player is touched or falls down it’s an insane blown call and the refs are letting the other team get away with murder. Just look at our own game threads.

In this environment, is it really surprising refs just try to keep the calls even and let them play?  Game management will go away when you start to see hockey fans accept that their team deserved their penalties. You have a better chance of seeing pigs fly or the Sens win a cup.

lol, said everyone soft Toronto player and fan.

With the proliferation of sport’s betting you may well get used to it. It’s only going to get worse.

How is this any better than Nylander trip penalty?

People in this thread be « tripping » dawg.

This is a call 100% of the time

  21. ClassicChrisstopher

Same shit in the Canucks/Preds game. The fact the refs have such a major outcome of games is an absolute joke.

  22. terminese

Not a mention of this blatant trip on the telecast .

  23. WillNytheScoringGuy

the nylander trip was such a game management call
