As a Rangers fan, this was just a warmup for the boys tbh, 2nd round is where the work really begins.
The Matt Rempe hype is honestly wild. I have never seen a 4th liner who plays 5 minutes a game talked about as much as he is. It's constant.

I liked this but not for this series. I will like the leafs/Bruins, Vegas/Dallas, but the Car vs NYI and such I'd be meh about it.
see I think the craziest thing is that the worst team kept all the games to a one to 2 goal game (except game one) while having 2 main d men injured and then losing 2 more later in the series so even though we got swept I still think they put up a crazy fight all we needed was just to hit the net LMAO too many ez goals missed

KeAndre Miller’s short handed goal was definitely best goal of the series. That passing was so smooth
I don't know any Rangers fans who dislike Rempe or his style, that just seems to come from the typical Twitter whiners who get their panties in a bunch over anything vaguely physical.

Watch the Rempe hit in slow motion. Both feet were on the ground at time of contact. A lot of people say it was charging, intent to injure blah blah blah.. But it wasn't that bad.

LGR! Its a DISGRACE that Vegas still has us at +750 and with SIX teams ranked higher than us as potential cup winners (and yes i did immediately put 20$ – not a big gambler at all – down on the Rangers to win the cup at +750 so i can celebrate with 150$ when we win lol)
Vegas/the MSM is disrespecting the NYR harrrrrd, case & point:
We won the Presidents Trophy (curses arent real ESP when it comes to NYR last 3 PT's we won ended in a cup final, a cup win and one game 7 goal away from ANOTHER finals appearance) – we were the only team to sweep rnd 1 – we had NO injuries or players looking out of sorts annnnnnd: Vegas has us at +750 as the SIXTH ranked team to win it RIGHT NOW…that is WILD (yes i placed a bet lol) i was expecting 3 to 1 odds not 7.5 to 1 odds but hey ill take it, but the Media is just as bad i think Sportsnet had 'should we start to consider NYR a REAL Cup Contender?!' as a title for a Youtube vid they put out a day or two ago, after the sweep…the disrespect is NUTS…but thats fine….we'll win AND ill take Vegas' money lol
Rust vs Rest:
IMO i find that if the 'rest' team gets 5+ days off they DO often have rust in game 1 but the longer the series goes the more that rest starts to help…but the NYR have the perfect mix of just a couple (3 or 4?) days off AND plenty of time to scout the opponent they knew they'd end up with…id say 3days rest is the ideal balance, only want it longer if u have injuries u want to recover from etc
