    Connor looked responsible all series long. A couple of instances late in a shift where he would have, in the past, tried to beat the defender on a rush one-on-one. But this series he was getting the puck deep and looking to change. Fact that he can play responsible hockey and still put up 12 in 5 is scary.

    I’m not sure the Oilers, will get to the Cup. The Hurricanes & the Avalanche are really a step ahead and firing on all cyclinders.. but the beauty of the playoffs, we just never know and put our faith in to our favorite teams. I don’t personally think Skinner, is playing well enough to get much deeper in to the playoffs & Nurse, keeps making bad turnovers and not moving his feet fast enough on the breakout which causes 3 on 1’s & he can’t back check or handle a 2 on 1 properly. He’s their main defender, who holds a lot of ice time.. this kind of stuff matters when guys like Cale Makar, are scoring, moving, not creating bad opportunities. Or Hurricanes when their goals are coming from 1st & 4th line players.
