  1. The Kuz crosscheck on Fox was a soft penalty? Is that what I heard?

He crosschecked him across the face…

  2. I’m not expecting to score a ton of goals vs the Rangers. That being said if they want to grind out this series defensively they have to communicate better. Saw it vs the islanders as well playing Man on Man defense. Guy gets left uncovered in the slot and it’s an easy goal.

  3. The team woke up in the 3rd. Game 2 will be different. I've got multiple friends who are rags fans in a group chat and they were freaking out lol. Canes will bounce back, very resilient team.

  4. The fox penalty was soft? LOL. Kuznetsov cross checked him in the face in front of the referee. Upgrade them glasses bud!

  5. Interesting angle, discussing calls. Canes had 5 PPs. Rangers had 2 PPs. The only discussion related to penalties that Canes-world should be discussing is why their PP was so bad and why they gave up two PP goals in 19 seconds of PP time for the Rangers.

  6. Go ahead and debate the ‘softness’ of the penalties. Adam Fox cross checked in the face or Deangelo leaving his feet on the hit?? Where exactly is the issue?

  7. The Rangers seem to be prepared from rest, at the break the Rangers had a longer rest than most teams based on a schedule quirk and they went on to win 10 in a row, I think one just before the break and 9 after. I think the Panarin shot that the goalie just missed is why Panarin scores more often, his shot is deceptively quick, the puck just hit between his right arm and right side and by the time he tried to close the arm on the body it had found its way through. The biggest whiff on the Rangers side was the inexplicable pass Mika tried while right in front of the net. Both goalies seemed to start off a bit shaky, Shesty had one just hit off his glove he should have caught easily but settled down soon after. . the Canes on their power play did not seem to be prepared for the Rangers aggressiveness as they tried to setup. It was very close for a shorthanded breakaway a few times and the Canes seemed to have little time in the offensive zone setup to pass around.
