Thank God. Nothing against Green, I just don't think he's the right choice. I also don't trust Fitz to not make that mistake (retaining him) if he was still out there. News for our team should heat up shortly once the Toronto dominos fall at the end of the week.

Honestly listening to his presser after the season I did like what he said about having a collaborative approach with Fitz, accountability, and most importantly creating his own indentity rather than idolizing one, which is what DJ Smith did. Hes a tougher coach than DJ and even though the results weren't there and Im not thrilled about the hire, I do believe he could be better in Ottawa than he was in Vancouver.

I just don't get it. Why would they jump on him, what has he proved? I like Travis, but look at the nucks now. I dunno, just seems insane they wouldn't try to get literally anyone else before offering him the job. I just can't imagine any other team was like-" yeah we gotta move on travis before he gets scooped". Especially with the likes of Craig and even Sully potentially becoming available.
I'm glad we halfheartedly did not make the playoffs. I don't think I could have handled getting swept by the rangers. It was F'in embarrassing losing to them during the reg season.
