  1. I don't think LA showed up against Edmonton for the most part. 55 percent on the pk is generous. Multiple goals happened right after the pp expired. 2nd best pp in the league all year and they offered little to no resistance. I don't see how some of that isn't an effort issue. Yes that pp is awesome but they were allowed to set up and move the puck at will. Vancouver will pressure them and Vancouver won't take nearly as many stupid penalties. I also think Silovs will continue to shock. He was stellar last year stealing the bronze medal for Latvia at the Wolrld Championships against the US and winning tournament MVP. No reason he can't reach that level of play again. Vancouver will slow down McDavid and Drasaitl through excellent systems defense by committee and with the pp neutralized and McDavid and Drasaitl not putting up 2-3 points a night Edmonton becomes very beatable. Edmonton doesn't smother like Nashville does they rely on skill and more wide open hockey. Vancouver has excelled against those teams all year. If the goaltending holds up I think Vancouver costs people a lot of money and wins in 6.

  2. Take a look at Canuck’s coaching staff most of them Hall of Famers including the GM. This team is in good hands

  3. It's going to be hard to predict. We've had too many guys not able to score due to tight checking from Nashville, or maybe we've just been cold-handed. So, I expect way more help outside of the only few guys who have scored so far. If we can't contain the Oilers, they will score a bunch, but we can definitely minimize their opportunities just enough. However, our forwards have to come through in that case

  4. Holy, look at that edmonton stat line. .. Mcd 12 points.. yet only +3… RNH 6 points +0 .. Draisaitl 10 points only +2. Tell me you depended on your PP without telling me. Or those guys are terrible defensively. What this tells me is that Edmonton is going to get bodied 5 on 5 by the canucks just like they have all season. But I'm sure the refs will do whatever they can to make sure the golden boy makes it to the next round with their officiating.

  5. Nobody was going to light up Nashville. I'm surprised nobody is mentioning this very much in regards to canucks offense numbers.

Sure they could have finished more, but it was basically 6 skaters playing goalie then Saros who believe it or not, played out of his skull. Canucks offense will get tons more space vs oilers D. And, Skinner is no Saros

  6. I dont think any other canadians want to see canadian teams succeed. I would literally rather watch any other american team win then gove another canadian city bragging rights

  7. Zac Hyman has to get through 3 absolutely huge dmen to be able to stand in front of the net and tip pucks. He wasn't able to do it at all during the reg season and he will take an absolute beating trying do do it in the playoffs. Miller is going to rock McDavid and be in his grill all series long. Draisaitl gets frustrated very easily, playing him hard and tight he loses his cool and gets of his game. Canucks will be all over him.

  8. Anything can happen when the games are actually played on the ice, did anyone foresee the Seattle Kraken with 2 years NHL experience, and first playoff appearance knocking off the defending champs (Colorado) just last year?

  9. Oilers are destined to bring the cup back to Canada. Storyline is perfect. Blast the Canucks, then get thier revenge on the Avs or Knights, then the Hurricanes in the finals. It's thier time. The fans are ready, the city is ready.

  10. Ita the good thing
About sports you actually have to play the games to find out who wins. No amount of data or history will give you any idea of qho wil win. These analysis shows are a complete waste of time.

  11. Id give the edge in net and defense to van.
They outhit and out muscled nash in round 1 so i think they have a slight edge there especially if the game is played defensively.
I like Vans bottom six better thab edmontons.
I think the deciding factor is can Miller get under mcdavids skin and can the canucks convincingly win in game 1.
If they do win then the canucks regular season series success can get into the oilers head.

  12. BTW im calling a canucks sweep. Oilers collapse after a lucky canucks game 1 win as miller gets under mcdavids skin and the team starts to doubt their goalie and stops playing their system.

  13. Canucks didn't win because of great goaltending. They won on good team defense and limiting Nashville's chances. It really won't make a huge difference who is in net.

  14. I believe the Canucks could make it interesting. If they win the series the only people surprised would be oiler fans and eastern media. Hopefully game one Zadorov rocks draisaitl, sets the tone.
