For years I've been the Sharks representative in Vancouver….I'm ready to see the logo and jerseys even more now!

  2. I thought a team couldn't get the #1 draft pick twice in a row? Regardless, he'll need time to mature and grow into the NHL… remember Trey Lance.

  3. It's okay to have some odd commentary sometimes if you're super excited. It shows you're a fan like the rest of us!

  4. So happy something wonderful went the sharks way. The tram is still a long way off, but It seems as if there is a very small glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel as the future core of the next era of sharks hockey starts to take shape. Wonderful video and GO SHARKS! 🦈

  5. Few notes that brodie forgot to mention:

    1. The sharks won the first overall pick's 4 digit lottery code 3 times in a row, because the league continued to try to get a code of a different team for the second overall pick, only after the 4th try they finally got another team which was Chicago. If this is not fate i don't know what else it is, the hockey gods were literally screaming, "Celebrini you going to San Jose".

    2. This was the first Lottery draft since 2010 in which no team has moved up or down from their pre-draft positions per standings.

    3. Macklin Celebrini isn't projected to be a player of the caliber such as McDavid or Bedard, but make no mistake, people expecting him to be the type of player that makes the same impact of players such as Matthews and Mckinnon. With no disrespect to the previous picks, but this kid is one of those golden horses you get that you build your franchise around him.

    4. Sharks fans better know, Macklin has a nickname Cheetah, after his move to the bay area the Golden warriors decided to change it and call him Chester, Like Chester Cheetah, the mascot of Cheetos. They explained they call him like that because of his filthy hands is like what you get after you eat a bowl of Cheetos.

    5. Rick Celebrini (his father) was interviewed today by the Golden warriors media following San Jose winning the draft lottery, you can find that newest video on the Golden state warriors' youtube channel, go check it out.

    * To summarize it i'll use Elliotte friedman's words, "The sharks were half pregnant, they are now fully pregnant." That's how much difference drafting this kid does to your rebuilding and prospect pool. The the light in the tunnel seem way more closer now. Enjoy the celebration everyone, we deserve it after so much suffering.

  6. This feeling reminds me more of when we acquired Jumbo. The hype this time around might be bigger because of his dad's connection to the Warriors. I've seen a lot of local coverage that I don't think happens without the brand of the Warriors. Either way, can't wait to see Celebrini jerseys in a packed out Shark Tank…coming soon

  7. Ducks had the chance twice, missed on Crosby and missed on Bedard. Congrats to the Sharks….

  8. If Chicago got the pick this year, it would have been 3 out of 5 years that a CA team was screwed out of the #1 pick.

  9. The best part about this draft lottery is that we didn't actually "win" it lmao. The draft order stayed the same so we can draft 1st overall in 2025 and 2026 regardless of how the picks become 1OA. This one doesn't count towards the new twice in five years rule.

  10. I think it was great that they released the footage of the draw itself while giving the media members in attendance the list of combinations quelling any rumors of any fixing

  11. Is there any chance the sharks don’t take macklin? (Don’t get me wrong I want Celebrini)

  12. SJ fans really think this kid is going to play for the worst team of the last 30 years with no end in sight

  13. Thank you, Brodie! Next season is finally going to be exciting! We might be still bad, but hey, we have young core and guys who will be great eventually!

  14. Its been a long time since we had this type of excitement. Last time was wheb we acquired Dan Boyle or Brent Burns

  15. kinda stopped following the sharks a few years back as but this next coming season is gonna be exciting as it seems like a real fresh rebuild and i hope great things come from it in the future. Ive seen the warriors and 49ers go from being embarassing teams to great all time teams and champions. the Sharks have always been good but fell into mediocrity after so many gut wrenching playoffs and finals losses and finally sank to the bottom of the ocean. Now we can start anew, hoping that one day we will all get to see once again multiple bay area teams going to their respective championship games in the same year like in 2016

  16. Last year was no conspiracy. They should not have even been allowed to draft after what that org did to that kid.

  17. Congrats to the sharks! Chicago fan here! Getting bedard last year added so much life to the United center! Hope it’s the same for you guys.

  18. Just got done watching Ozzy Wiesblatt play for Milwaukee in the playoffs tonight. If he plays in training camp next season like he played tonight, he has a very, very good chance to break camp with the Sharks.

  19. Big name missed is Luca Cambroni. Kid is a defenseman playing in the WHL and put up 90 points in 65 games this season. Excited for that one

  20. Sharks probaly get a top 5 pick next year too. Then after that they will start moving up as their previous picks get experience. Then its a free agent splash to fill in any holes missed by the draft.

  21. Getting Celebrini makes the pain of the last 2 seasons worth it!
Now let's get go an exciting attacking defense man in the draft. Well, a man can dream!
