With the amount of stick flex in today's game, they still haven't improved much at all with how powerful shots can be. Slap shots were clocked from low 90's to 105 with wooden sticks and we are still seeing that now. Yes I know it helps so the stick doesn't break as often but sticks are now breaking more where blade meets shaft and of course because of all of the baby temper tantrums.
