What bugs me the most about the refs this game is 2 things, the fucking spearing on Highlander should be a 5 + game, should not even be questioned! The other thing is the interference penalty on Suter, it was weak but ok they call it, then on that power play Mcdavid does the same exact thing to Zadorov and it’s not called. And let’s be real mcdavid gets away with a lot of shit and it fucking sucks to see. Canucks got the worse of the horrible officiating this game and so far this series

Disagree about the poor reffing. Yes, both sides benefited and were hurt by bad officiating, but it was the TYPE of calls they missed that makes me mad: the egregious attacks on Hughes. Payback next game?
There was missed calls all around. The high stick was not called but what i dont aee anyone bringing up was there was another high atick that drew blood on zack hyman in the first and no call on that one either. Missed calls all around for sure. Also everyons like " i loat respect for mcdavid." I have seen this in the playoffs when watching mcdavid. Players say "they cant call everything." Your right so what happens to mcdavid all the time." Slashying, water skiing off him, cross checking, as much as the players can get away with cause they cant compete with mcdavids speed. So im my opinion this is mcdavid sayinf " ok fine yoy want to play that way lets play."

my takeaway is that the oilers aren't the big bad scary juggernaut they think they are. if this series goes deep what will the 50-50 drai and mc jesus have in the tank playing 27-28 minutes a game? cole has had a brutal 2 games.

too many men on that goal…agreed…slew foot penalty yes…4 min high stick penalty yes…sacking a player penalty yes…. I am all for playoff hockey and letting some things go…but these were blatant calls that were completely missed and go above the bar of what should be let go in a playoff game. 3-1 bad calls here against the Canucks

silovs was playing great! Heck of a game, nothing to be ashamed of. Even if we lose the series, the oilers have nothing to laugh about us! tbh only 2 goals silovs actually let in. one goal was from mcdavid on a breakaway which uhm i think thats like a 80% chance of goign in and the other one was a ian cole tip. if demko comes back, this series is bassicly over. Silovs absolutely carried us.
They got the win, but they way overused McDavid and Draisaitl this game to get it. They're gonna be gassed by the end of the series if they keep doing the same thing.

Yea, its the canucks and refs fault the high stick on hughes should have been a 5 min penalty and a game misconduct on mcdavid, which would not have the 3rd or the ot goal happen, but the canucks were also outplayed so both team and refs fault but mostly the refs

Kelly Sutherland is notoriously bad when officiating Canucks games. Everyone knows it too, there is a reason why the betting odds swung so heavily towards the oilers when he was announced as the referee.
That was a weird game. So much was predicted before the game. Ref Sutherland be mediocre was talked about on radio ahead of game, Cole getting a goal for the Oilers was joked about, Kane being cheap and McDavid kicking it up a notch. Im a Canucks fan and there is no way we were going to sweep the Oilers. Oilers are a great team. I just hope we can take the series. I thought the Oilers played a great 3rd and deserved the win.

Really could be 2-0 for the oilers if they hold that lead in game 1 even with questionable reffing. Drai coulda scored 2 and put it away early. Vancouver didnt generate much. Oilers played a solid road game. Carried the play most of the third. Now Vancouver has to go to edm where the oilers are a different animal. Edm in 5 baby!😊

I'm a Canucks fan and I admit the Oilers dominated in the third period, however, I believe the outcome might have been different if the officiating wasn't so horrible. High sticking drawing blood, slew footing, and spearing are considered major offenses yet not one of them got called which if they had, could have changed the pace of the game and possibly the momentum of play. Especially since the Canucks had the lead.

Edmonton needs to get injured, take a game misconduct and just remove 2 or 3 of their players from the series. Not for Canucks advantage, just cause their dirty fucks that didn't get called for it.

There's letting them play after some rough housing in front of a net, but non calls negatively impact the integrity of the game. Without consistent rules being upheld, what's the point of any of this. IOU penalties make no sense. Call all of them, both teams. Game management has gone too far.
