Depends on the coach for sure. I can see a spotlight seeker wanting the tire fire in Toronto. I could see someone liking the situation in Seattle.

Biased my belief is we have a pretty good situation especially with loads of young talent but I know this doesn’t entirely answer your question.

Honestly us, no one wants to go to Toronto and deal with that bullshit over there.

Well since the Devils are number 1, who will the lucky chosen one coach be lol Maybe we find out this week.

  4. The fact that we have almost nonexistent sports media coverage compared to Toronto should be a huge selling point to any prospective hire.

Devils job will have much less pressure than Toronto

In Toronto you’ll be constantly scrutinized, and the expectations will be cup or bust. Here, you get to coach with fewer expectations and the only media pressure you’ll face is Frank the Tank chanting for you to be fired every time your team loses a face off.

#1 and didn’t even mention the food in the area. Hot damn, look at us!

    “Palat’s contract”

If that’s the only other con after “Poor goaltending”, we’re in good shape for any coach that actually wants to be here and doesn’t just go to the highest bidder like Laviolette did

    And the cons:

    Poor goaltending

    Palat’s contract

would be contradictory to the author’s pro of “savvy front office”

  10. It’s good to see the mainstream media narrative making it clear that injuries and goaltending plagued 23-24 instead of some bullshit about regressing or not being the real deal
