  1. The woulda coulda shoulda analysis is such a loser take. Goes both ways. If Cole doesn't light it up for Edm, you'd be facing elimination. If Demko and Pettersson are playing to up to their standards, same thing. It is what it is. Your guy in net is rattled and and has been from game 1. Knob needs to make changes, including splitting up McDrai. Here's the worst part, the Canucks have yet to play a full 60 minutes this entire playoffs. They have the ability to roll four lines consistently. Only two are contributing.

  2. They won game 2 sure, but how many of it was off of Ian cole. ian cole doesnt give you 3 of the 4 goals in g2. Its canucks 3-0 pls

  3. This idiocy of basing everything on the number of shots in stead of the quality of the shot and who is doing the shooting make me laugh. If you are giving Brock, JT, Lindholm, Petty etc these point blank chances they are going to finish. The lack of respect for the Canuck personal is mind boggling to me.

  4. canucks didn't win the game. skinner lost it. i'm calling bullshit on that one. i could say the canucks are 3-0 if it wasn't for cole and they would be 2+ goal wins. boeser was ALL by himself on his 2 goals. where was the D? team effort boys. don't put this on 1 guy when it is a depth issue.

  5. There's no question about this. We've seen Skinner get out-played or let in soft goals every year for the last three years now. He is a decent, solid backup goalie, but not much good in the playoffs, and until the Oilers get a different goalie they will not get past the second round.

And no, I'm not jumping off any bandwagon. I've been saying this for two years, and now this is year number 3. You have to be on the bandwagon to jump off it, and I have not watched a single game all the way through this year.

  6. This series will probably go seven games. Regardless of who wins, I believe Oilers are the 7th best playoff team right now, and the Canuckleheads are 8th. The Oilers goaltending will be better for the rest of this series. It couldn't get any worse. They will also begin getting more bounces. Having said this, I can't help feel that the Oilers will lose this series. I hope I am wrong, but it is hard to shake off the feeling. What an unlucky franchise. On the flip side, the Canucks have been very lucky this season. On paper, they should be a bubble to a wildcard team at best. I believe they have severely overachieved this season and will return to their bumbling selves next season after Tocchet's shine as coach wanes into the night. Go Oilers go!

Message to the NHL: Protect your star players. There absolutely has to be favoritism towards the talented players in this league, just like there is in the NBA. The fact that McDavid and Draisaitl have not won a cup in Edmonton yet is a travesty. The reffing in these playoffs needs to be better.

Canucks fans will remember 2011 and how the NHL made sure that Vancouver did not beat Boston by allowing the lowly Bruins to clutch and grab their way to a Stanley Cup. Although I didn't have a horse in that finals matchup, I remember how hurt everyone who was a Canucks fan was at how they've been robbed of a championship. The NHL does not want a Canadian franchise to win the cup. The fix is always there. Just look at how the oh hum boring LA Kings won two cups in the past. That team was the antidote for people suffering from insomnia. Anyways, enough said.

  7. As a Canucks fan, I’m happy that we’re up 2-1 but the Canucks were dominated for most of game 3. Mcdavid and Leon are a lot to handle for sure but Canucks gotta do better to keep them in check.

  8. If the Canucks win the Stanley Cup, I’m thinking Skinner to be the leading candidate for the Smythe. A one man shit show.

  9. Get Grant Fuhr out of retirement! Seriously the Oilers have to score their way to the next win. Anyway I think we all know the Oilers are not cup contenders. Still huge prob with back end and depth scoring…

  10. Don't worry oil country, you have the league and the officiating on your side. You'll win a fixed series in seven games just as Gary has it mapped out!

  11. sit him down.. its over for him. either bring pickard/campbell or just scorched earth policy and hurt soucy/zadorov for the rest of the playoffs.

  12. Canucks are just the better team. Nucks have 4 consistent goal scoring lines, whereas oilers only rely on McCheatcode. Stop trying to pass the blame. You’re just mad and grossly underestimated the nucks. We’re using our AHL goalie, our 11 million dollar player has not showed up, AND WE’RE STILL RINSING YOUR ASS. Goes to show the massive ego of oilers fans. Y’all are just buthurt.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  13. ** First, its not all on Skinner! ** Vancouver players rushing in have TO PASS – ** 5 OILER PLAYERS ** – BEFORE SKINNER SHOULD HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE PLAY. ** DEFENSE AT THE BLUE LINE RUSHING IN, IS A BIGGER ISSUE THEN SKINNER'S PERFORMANCE … PERIOD **

  14. Canucks controlled the first period. Oilers had to play catch up the rest of the way. People talk as if the Canucks cant create scoring chances.

  15. At this point, I’m good with either Picks or Soup starting tomorrow.

It’s clear over the last two years of playoffs, Skinner can’t handle the playoffs and he won’t bounce back. Hopefully Campbell or Pickard can steal us a game.

  16. None of the Canuck’s goals were weak, what was weak was Edmonton’s defensive game in the first period.

  17. How much do you think Calgary could extort from Edmonton for Markstrom this offseason?

  18. Wow, seriously??? I don't recall anyone complaining about Skinners play when you were playing the Kings. Give the Canucks some credit. They are the ones who is making him look bad.

  19. Oilers D is lacking which filters into the goaltending. The Canucks are enjoying the wide open spaces in the Oilers D zone, that they never had vs the Preds. Also, playing your top players for almost 30 minutes a game isn't too good of a model to follow. If they do win the series, they'll be exhausted, and an easy mark for Dallas or the Av's. I call that bad ice time management by the coach.

  20. I have the impression that everyone is very upset and surprised, how come the Oilers are losing to the Canucs! It's as if the Canucs didn't win the Pacific, as if they are where they are by chance and as if the score so far against the "godly" Oilers, which currently reads 6 0 1, doesn't mean anything. . Stop underestimating the great team of the Canucs and the excellent Tocchet, otherwise you will become ridiculous.

  21. Its not all Skinners fault when you have only one line and Ian Cole Oilers MVP producing goals 😂

  22. Can't just blame him…that comeback game oilers had 4 shots in the third…wont win shit with 4 shots a period.

  23. You say that nobody saw it coming but we knew what goalie we were having at the first of the series and I still called canucks in 5 and I'm still calling canucks in 5. But then again I also called Vancouver playing Winnipeg in the Western conference finals so that could be why I don't bet
