Got outplayed badly in game 4 and still came back to tie it. Oilers look good on the PP but not so good 5 on 5. Stay out of the box fix our own PP and we can still win this series

Van lost it on the 4 min power play not establishing any dangerous chances. Eased Pickard into the series. Garland had another gear and looked like speedy threat after he scored. Pickard's a free agent in the summer.
I didn’t think Oilers would beat them in the physical game. But I think the physical game is starting to take an effect. Also Kane has been very disciplined as well this series and that’s rare.
The Canucks have not played an entire 60 minutes yet

Oil haven't had one of their breakout games yet. Just wait because it's coming. Canucks shouldn't even be in this series. Never seen such a pathetic display of offence yet the series is tied. Sivlos can only win this team so many games. They're lucky Skinner struggled otherwise this series is over.

That last minute GWG was crushing. I thought for sure the Nucks we're taking it to OT. Relatively boring game until those last few.

I remember being disappointed when Chicago took Boqvist over Bouchard (exactly what Chicago needed; a D-man w/ size, skill, RH shot, etc.)
In light of Boqvist’ frequent injuries and being dealt quickly to sign an older RH D-man to a ridiculous deal, seems my reservation at the time was well-founded. Bouchard has been a huge puzzle piece, and won’t be the reason EDM doesn’t advance if VNC does.

This is one of those games where it wasn't the Oilers that outplayed the Canucks, but that the Canucks just tries to lose. And almost didn't.
Whoever wrote the script for this game did an incredible job. Possibly the most engaging game of the entire year.
The Oilers running on all cylinders are the best team in the league. The only way the Nucks win is if we beat ourselves.
I was shocked when Vancouver allowed that late winning goal. Especially right after tieing the game up. Even if Vancouver was going to lose in the end, you simply have to at least get it to OT there… But I guess it saved the viewers from having to watch another intermission.

Man the Canucks are a resilient bunch Shan. Things are realllly lookin up for that group, even if they lose this matchup.
Six minutes of powerplay time in the first only to generate 4 shots on net is simply going to kill us, and I think that's the primary reason we lost. Hoping to see a change up on our zone entry on the PP because Edmonton seems to have how we currently like to set up on lock. Splitting the games in Edmonton really saving our skin going later in to the series!
Silovs is great and i dont want to blame him for nothing, he has been lights out but….he needs to stop the Bouchard shot.

Well thats a toughie, tying it up so late, thought for sure this would see OT.. The thrill so late to tie just to drop it seconds later sucks. All you can do is suck it up and move on. I think there is nothing more exciting and on the reverse side more heartbreaking than the NHL playoffs.. its the doublest of double edge swords of any sport. Its not always easy to remember that the thrill of winning being so thrilling is exactly why the down of the losing is so depressing which turns to anger usually.. Like all the Ranger talk show is mostly anger, but its really dealing with the heartbreak of blowing game 4 with the ONLY successful power play by Carolina and then blowing the 3rd period lead in a big ugly way their last game.. Every game is different, teams do come back better than fans recover..

Pettersson line was terrible again this game. He neeeds to get going and needs to stop diving at the puck when there is an odd man rush… his foot speed isn’t there.. almost like he injured his lower leg area…
If the second line on your team can’t do anything there is a problem. Good thing Canucks have a good 1st and 3rd like tho.

Real solid teams, whoever wants it more will get it. Van are babes in the playoffs. If the oilers rise above this difficult challenge … they might … don't wanna jinx it!
