  1. Carolina messed this one up. They had total control of the game and shot themself in the foot at the end.

  2. happy rangers fan but kudo's to the canes or fighting back despite almost getting swept in this series and being a good period away of winning 3 straight to force a game 7

  3. And in the end it is Carolina that come up with the choke and fall by a "reverse hat trick"

  4. 👉Leave it to a kid who was 3 yrs old in 1994 to score 3 in the 3rd to keep our 2024 dream of a first Cup in 30 years alive. KREIDER IS HIM (BTW Thank God for IGOR too) LETS GO RANGERS

  5. Shame the Martinook hero save didn't matter in the end. That would've been such an epic storyline to force a game 7.

  6. Hey, it could be coincidence, but …. someone else got three goals in a game 6 third period on the road for the Rangers… Messier, the Eastern Conference Finals against the Devils… in 1994. The Guarantee Game…. and the Canucks are still alive in the West…..

  7. imho carolina was the best team left from top to bottom. taking offense and defense into account. NYR had igor and enough top end talent to outlast them.

  8. I honestly thought this game was over once the Martinook save happened. But we ride with Kreids!!! LGR!!!!

  9. Called Kreider to show up big tonight. Big Bruins fan myself, but dad is a lifelong Rangers fan.. hope we get to chop it up and cheers to our teams duking it out to represent the East. Picked Rangers to win it all this year. Nothing beats playoff hockey

  10. For five straight periods I was asking myself what happened to the Rangers I watched all season, who would find a way to win some of the unlikeliest games. At the start of the third I was getting wistful for all the times during the year when the boys would be down 2 goals with 20 or even 10 minutes to play and I’d be totally confident in their ability to get one and then another. And then Kreider remembered that feeling too and went with it, plus the game winner for good measure. In the 2022 playoffs, when my daughter was 4, she yelled out “I’m assessed (obsessed) with Kreider!” Me too, kid. From the very beginning of his career. Me too.

  11. Gonna say this, I thought it was over at 3-1. But it’s the playoffs and I know better than to give up on any team. The Rangers caught a couple breaks and never quit. Amazing 3rd period and amazing win. I still hate the Rangers but as a Leaf fan what do you expect. #GoLeafsGo

  12. She dresses and sings like a harlot… so no there isn’t much anything better from her lol.

  13. All I’m gonna say is no game is one in the first period 60 minutes of hockey the canes played there asses off but had nothing left after 21/2 games of desperation and it showed

  14. I watched this game with friends in a Raleigh pub. Raleigh fans were super upset that Canes let this one slip away. They’d convinced themselves that a reverse sweep was all but inevitable. I’m more realistic and just like to see a good game, and that it was. Could’ve gone either way. Canes need better goaltending next season and maybe Kochetkov is it, but I have doubts.

  15. The battle of two teams that are great in the regular season and cannot get past the second round

  16. What a wild game. Really thought this was destined for the Canes when Martinook saved the goal. They seemed to run out of gas and Rangers turned up the heat. It was such a different game he last 15 minutes of the game. That was a legendary game for Kreider. Just seemed destined to score those goals. Canes gave it all but they just didn’t execute.

  17. Forget the President's Trophy Curse!

THG had Carolina at numero uno for his final power ranking!

We have a new curse folks!

So with that said, please THG do not pick Dallas for anything!!!

  18. EVERY Leafs fans knew Freddie Andersen would blow it. When Freddie is in net in the playoffs you gotta score at least 6 bc the other team is gonna score at least 5.

  19. Dont wanna jinx them but starting to see some very eerie similarities between this & 94

Really hoping for another cup for the Rangers i was at the 94 parade & its still the biggest ive ever seen in the city & one of my fondest memories.

    LETS GO RANGERS

  20. I watched the Rangers game until 6 minutes into the 3rd period when I was disgusted and said, "I'm done watching this game'. Krieder scored less than a minute later.

I stayed away, I said, 'we scored, Im staying away". WE SCORE AGAIN. I wanted to go back and watch but we just scored two goals, so I commit and go on twitter. KREIDER GETS THE NATURAL HATTY.

It was really some Always Sunny shit. Everyone knows everything a fan does impacts the game. I stayed away so we could close it out. EPIC. EPIC. EPIC. Kreider is my horse too.

  21. The rangers obviously deserved the win here. They were the (slightly) better team over 7 games, far better on special teams, and I'm not trying to diminish that, but the NHL has a major issue with officiating that's going to hold it back from being on par with other major sports. The refs can't swallow their whistles all night, miss a delay of game penalty, and then call a make up call on a softie that's embellished and they haven't been calling all night. You can say, well, the canes gotta kill it off, they had their chances too, lost the special teams battle, missed calls on both sides, etc. That's all true. But when two teams are this close, pretty much every game could have gone either way, and it's really a game of inches, it can absolutely be the difference maker–and that was the theme of the series. Current officiating in the NHL is far too subjective, and they get it wrong too often for the league to have mainstream appeal (Canada doesn't count 😝). Not saying I have a solution, maybe some of the additional video reviews will help, but it's currently fucked and not worth investing much time and money in a season.

  22. It's simple the Rangers have better goaltending… what's it now 547 games Igor hasn't given up more than 3 in a playoff game?

  23. Why are you so obsessed with goals that go in inches away from the goalie?
Well Chris was doing was called net presents.

  24. I'm new to hockey, and while my Canes didn't force a game 7, this was still a fun, harrowing and entertaining series. I look forward to seeing how they change things up in Raleigh for next season. Also, Go Canucks!

  25. Freddie please be at least an average goalie in the playoffs challenge failed. I love Freddie and he has been a great goalie in the regular season when healthy. But man the save percentage just wasn't good enough. Too many easy goals given up in just about every game of the playoffs (including the Islanders series). So frustrating when you have the feeling the guy on the bench could have given you a better chance.

  26. It's so rare in hockey that one guy can completely carry his team in moments like this. It happens in other sports, but not hockey. The NYR were dead and had no life at all going into the third and this beautiful man said "We ain't losin this one" and proceeded to dunk all over the Canes. This one will be talked about for generations in NY.

  27. Carolina wear themselves out in third periods by playing the relentless puck pursuit game they employ. And their goaltender is middle-of-the-road at best. I thought Brind'Amour should have played the Russian kid after the OT loss in Game Three.
