This will be a fun series like last year.
The Panthers and Canes wouldn't have made the playoffs in the Isles division. The Bolts haven't played a team as good as the Isles. Are the Lightning a better team? Sure. The Penguins and Bruins probably are, too. The problem is its hard for other teams to play Islanders Hockey in a long series. They beat you down and do it clean. There's a reason the Bolts walked over the Stars coming off that series with the Isles.

It will be a great series. If the NYI hand PP opportunities to Tampa, it will be a short one. Hopefully both teams learned a lesson from Kadri and Sheifele.
Sorry I missed this live, I flew up to NY (long Island) to see my 90 year old dad were watching tomorrow's game together, moments like this are far and few between. Should be a fun day on the island,,,(already getting some funny looks in the local bagel shop with my lightning gear on😀).

Trotz is a brilliant coach and will have his team as prepared as they can be to display discipline against the Bolts. It will be up to the players as to whether or not they can temper emotions in the heat of the moment. It is hard to do with so much on the line; especially with younger players. If the Islanders can stay out of the box, the series will go seven. If not, it will be a bloodbath. Can't help but think that the refs will play a big role in this series.
