They value Jenner very highly & has a 8 team NTC. Jenner also has a pretty good contract. They would easily get a 1st from a contender. Would likely have to inclue a better prospect to beat other teams offers.
You’re smoking crack if you think Trenin is signing that contract with us. I’d gladly overpay for him.
I don’t mind most of the moves if they can be had but I hate, hate, hate the idea of Patrick Kane as a Sabre.
Not really a fan of Jenner but that’s one of the few trades I would do, though I think Columbus would want more and I’m pretty sure it would take more AAV and term to get Trenin and Pesce to play in Buffalo.
Given we add $12m in 2 contracts for 2 years of UFAs and another $3.75m with Jenner, how does 25-26 fit in the cap with the other RFAs we have to pay and Skinner’s buyout going up by $3m?
I keep trying to figure out how a big splash would work in the cap for the year after next and can’t figure out unless A) you get to trade most of Skinner’s cap hit or B) you are thinking we will trade somebody else that is in the $6-7m/year range of contract. Both seem like unlikely situations. We have JJ, Quinn, Levi, and Byram to pay as it stands right now. That feels like at least $18m in cap hit for 25-26.
Also, I totally forgot about Poltapov.
No. Purely from signing Kane. If we buyout Skinner fuck paying Kane. At that point sign Reinhart. Younger, faster and..
Major bonus
He can PLAY DEFENSE
