[Strickland] Dan Waddell quittant la Caroline est de son propre fait, même si on lui avait demandé de revenir, il aurait marché. Selon des sources. (le tweet de suivi dit qu’il ne s’attend pas à ce que Tulsky devienne permanent)

its one thing to interview others as well but its wild if the expectation that Tulsky just wont get the gig

Ah, see, Don leaving is all this Dan Waddell’s doing.

Found it interesting he didn’t elaborate on why he thinks that

I feel like with all that is going on with the canes it’s easy for media to speculate even if they don’t have any credible sources (not saying this is the case here). But with the fanbase on edge with pending free agents/management moves I feel like there will be a lot of “reports” put out there to just drive engagement.

Maybe Tulsky would prefer having some title like « President of Hockey Ops » so he can focus more on the behind the scenes and leave the negotiating to someone else

I should have known Don’s evil twin Dan was behind this!

Over the next few years this job is going to be a lot to do with construction, project management, dealing with the city, and a lot less about hockey. I wouldn’t fancy that much either.
Not saying that’s the only factor obviously but I’d be surprised if that hasn’t entered his mind.

Most people don’t like being overworked and underpaid so not surprising. But that’s the Dundon way

Not sure what it means when Don wants out on the eve of our most important and difficult off-season in years.
