Crazy that Canada currently doesn’t have 1 elite goaltender. Like not 3-4 like back in the days but just 1 sure elite #1. I guess that would be Price if it wasn’t for injuries but even then he’d be old.

I’m not a bettor but if I was I’d always put money on Canada’s opponents in bronze medal games. I think the crush of their gold medal hopes always mentally undoes them.

The days of Canada being the bogeyman of the sport and being a lock for a medal are far behind them. Hockey Canada needs to improve their development pipeline and something needs to happen to reduce how expensive it is for parents to enroll their kids and keep up with the costs. If they do nothing Canada will look ***very*** different in both the NHL and on the international stage. We have no idea how many McDavids, Makars, Prices, etc. we’ll never see because their parents can’t afford the sport.
