Our professional teams can't help but choke. Thats why it wasnt hard for me to cheer for Vegas when they joined the league and I've been a fan since day 1! (I'm also a transplant from a state with no professional sports teams of any kind, so joining other fan bases is kinda normal for this area)

Nations tourney should be the new all star game. Do it during the break, let players choose if they would rather get healthy or represent their country. And then every 4 years when the Olympics happens we see that instead. Could go every other year with the nations tourney and the all star game to keep it from getting stale
More teams to the strange 4-teams tournament – absolutely yes!
One big thing about game 3 – it was an afternoon game on a holiday weekend on ABC and ESPN+. So people actually had the ability to watch it legally. It’s a big issue that the league ignores

The last team to beat London was Saginaw (and I guarantee they've got people talking), so Wednesday should be a battle.
Personally, I'll be pulling for London to sweep this round, continuing that unbeaten streak.
But I'm definitely looking for Saginaw to bounce back, beat (probably) MJ, and get their revenge against London in the final.
Would be a great match, just like their semi-final was.
Seems like anyone who makes it to the NHL as a coach has a lifetime of job security, no matter how poorly their teams perform. No wonder neither Canada nor the US got a medal from the Worlds, the game is getting really stale with the same coaches swapping jobs with each other.

They could've made it six nations, adding Central Europe (Germany/Austria/Switzerland) and Eastern Europe (Czechia/Slovakia/Latvia maybe?) and started with a round robin.

These world championship/4 nations tournaments are just cringe. Stanley Cup Playoff is the highest level of competition. We dont need these types of tournaments for sports that have professional leagues established. Even the olympics are much lower tier.

Trouba is a bum. That elbow could have turned out very badly. The fact he only got a minor penalty is outrageous. I know Shannon thinks it’s dumb to get into a fight but I’d love to see him tuned up and bloodied.
It's almost as if you make NHL games available to watch on regular tv more people would watch it…. No one could've known that.
I have two TVs in the living room for just such an occasion. Big screen gets NHL, small screen tonight is Memorial Cup. Earlier it was AHL when my team hadn't choked to the 5th string goalie for Vancouver.
The gambling ads are up over 19 percent for sure. We as a society will see zero repercussions from this, I am sure of it.
Can we just scratch the 4 nations tournament and do a 10 team World Cup of Hockey, including Russia?

The fact that the Oilers are having to even consider the possibility of switching out their starter for a third string minor leaguer at this point in the season as well as the fact that the team all simultaneously went to sleep and blew a lead for like the seven bajillionth time is why, despite being a fan, I simply cannot take this team seriously as any kind of threat to win a cup. Championship caliber teams simply do NOT do that!
They are where they are in this year's playoffs in spite of themselves, not because of themselves.
If anyone deserves to be in the 4 nations tournament, it's Russia.
But no, for obvious political reasons 🙄.
