We need to keep our composure. We cannot let one goal completely destroy us. We are a far better team than this. If we are not scoring… or need some energy go run a guy! We have to create our own momentum AND be able to generate flow after we hit speed-bumps aka G.A.
Guess we're in for a new coach next year if this team drops the next 1…..

Other than Bouchard and ekholm, the rest of the defense aren’t hard enough defending in front of skinner and they cannot ever shoot the puck from the blue line
don't give a fcuk if these players are professionals, as the coach if your not going to sit down the team and tell them individually straight up how garbage they playing then we lost the series. nurse Skinner and a few others need a reality check
This guy is the beneficiary of a solid roster. He is an average coach.
So many turnovers in our own zone the last two games! We could have been up 3-0 or down 0-3. So many avoidable mistakes. And the players say “it happens in the playoffs”. From Skinner and Nurse.
I think with Roope back, oilers are doomed. Robo was playing below average until Roopes returned. Three solid lines that can just score and always a threat. I thought only Mcdavid, Bouchard and Brown stood out to me today. Nurse, Ekholm, Ceci, Vinny all had troubles today and need to put up a full 60 minute effort

Not entirely Skinners fault but he has looked shaky in the net and that 4th goal was bad which lost the game.

Skinner has shown us his true colours numerous times. He’s a solid first rate BACKUP. Start and stick with Pickard until he needs relief.
I think McD just needs to dive and highstick a bit more and the Oilers could bounce back
Edmonton loves to point fingers, every team has a bad loss, and their job is to bounce back asap and fix those mistakes….Kris Knoblauch is the best head coach Edmonton has had since Craig McTavish.
Why no time out after tied goal? Why no time out with goalie pulled? Why not start pickard in the third, he would have saved that fourth goal. Why put Nurse with Cece, sit Nurse add Broberg😂. Sorry knob 4th goal was very bad
First year coach coaching like the 1st year coach… no fault here but clearly he does not possess any playoff smarts and know-how.

Sit nurse – how many goals have gone off his body/skate/screening our goalie etc. also the penalty he took late in 3rd period. Unacceptable. Trade that guy and free up our 9+million for better defenders.

Skinner will be the one to lose the series for the Oilers, we have the team but not the best goalie. When the oilers get more shots on goals than their opponents but lose the answer is always to Goalie. If it’s a battle of the goalies… skinner loses. Question is… will Pickard be any better at this stage? That’s a flip of the coin… but probabilities suggest worth trying.
Oilers coach has no playoff experience and it shows, should’ve yanked Skinner on the third Stars goal, let the team know they needed to play more desperately.

interesting re all comments about Stars superiority , depth etc. An objective analysis of game however reveals they play one outstanding period and two awful ones. First period…3 shots and they did nothing. third period….3 shots and two goals . one in empty net. They really were very average for two thirds of the game. Yes the second period they stomped the Oilers for sure and were clearly the better team. If I'm a stars fan however I can't be thrilled with their overall performance. Only an awful , putrid goal allowed by Skinner ensured victory. That goal can NEVER go in. Unacceptable..

Wake up coach Knoblauch. Use Pickard on game 4 & 5. And defense need to do better and improve. Skinner allowed 4 goals in 22 shots, it is unacceptable. We believe the Oilers can turn this around and best the Stars in game 6 or 7. Go Oilers ❤

Hate to say it the last of couple of games the coaching sucked. Put pickard in next game. Skinner cant win this.
Everybody sees there's a pattern here right? Dallas' game plan? We're not "out playing" them in the 1st by any means, imo they purposely sit back in the 1st period and make us expend our energy going after goals and playing offense, while they do their best trying to survive the Oilers attack. Then they turn up the offense themselves in the 2nd after we've had our push and expended energy. Why there seems to be a lull in Oilers play in the 2nd in every game. Imo in this situation, the goal should be to score as much as possible in the 1st period (bc Dallas will sit back), and try not to give up any in the 2nd by emphasizing puck possession and slowing the game down. Scoring two in the 1st has not been enough (we did that twice this series) , maybe we need to score three or more. If we're tied going into 3rd we have a chance, but if we have a lead, we have a VERY good chance in winning. Ultimately its a test in "mental" toughness, the Oil should not get too down on themselves if they surrender the lead in the second, the game is playing out as it should, for the Stars anyway. Just remain focus and get the job done! IMO the Stars are not a better team, but they seem to have a better plan. Also, those long stretch passes are intended to divide the players and make them exhausted. Ultimately, the Coach needs to make appropriate adjustments to counter Dallas strategy. The Boys can do this, they need to be mentally strong.
Insert back Macleod for Ryan, and insert Broberg for Vinny or Nurse. Maybe consider Pickard for Skinner just to give Skinner a rest, and maybe to wake up the defense.
Knobs tell the team a hockey game is more then 20 minutes. How the hell do you go from the first period to the second period and just play flat. Embarrassing.
It will take an Asset with extremely high level Tactical Awareness and acumen to match up with the Stars and Rangers. Kris needs help now. Leon Draisaitl has a friend he met @ West Edmonton Malls autograph sessions who happens to be a purveyor of such an "Asset" but the price is Quality/Quantity formulated …very high… but the juice is worth the squeeze…so ask Leon to call in a favor from a friend. Review the media files of that day and then to Leons right side you can find actual footage of the "Secret Formula" Mr. Knoblauch needs to win the Stanley Cup in 7 straight games being offered openly to any interested and in the know.
