@Rangers de New York

Mika probably held, Kakko definitely tripped, and Trouba punched in the fucking face.

  2. Rell_826

There are two penalties there. Zibanejad is held and Kakko is tripped. I don’t want to blame officiating as the Rangers only played a 20 minute game, but they have their thumb on the scales. If you aren’t going to call those, you can’t call the hook on Wheeler.

I’m all for pointing these out.. I’m also all for pointing out the absence of our star players this series. Mika and Panarin especially need to be better. The fact we are 2-2 is because laffy is fucking money. Goodrow is stepping up… Why aren’t our star guys stepping up. Kreider had his big moment we need them to show there big moment

  4. oleoleolegs

100% sure one of them would have been called if the teams were reversed.

Kakko is clearly tripped (and LOL at the r/hockey thread where people were claiming Kakko tripped himself. Wtf are they talking about, the kid drew two penalties today that went uncalled) as he steps on the defenders stick as he makes a move to get around him. It’s blatant as fuck.

Literally two penalties on Florida in the final seconds of the 3rd to first prevent a 2 on 1 and then prevent Kakko from having any chance. Meanwhile Lindgren is getting called for a board battle « hold » while the puck is still right there. League is a joke.

Doesn’t excuse Mika’s garbage play in OT, but my god, it’s hard to win when you’re not playing great and the refs are shitting on your team every time you do get something going.

Don’t forget the punch to Kakko’s head after being tripped

  7. Llorion

Refs only see what they’re paid to see.

  8. Kakko 100% got tripped. I watched the replay on my DVR

  9. Wingnutt02

There were THREE ridiculous missed penalties at the end of regulation. Zib grabbed, Kakko tripped, Trouba punched in the face.

  10. pupposedacat

Refs have the iq of the average floridian

  11. Bern_itdown

Amazing, another missed penalty against the panthers. How shocking.

If we lose this series, there are two groups to blame. First, the players who aren’t able to convert on the chances we do get, but also the refs who have totally screwed us over. We would have probably nearly won this series by now if they didn’t miss so many darn calls, despite calling us for the tiniest of offenses. It’s just… asinine…

Yeah we aren’t in the offensive zone that much, but we still find ways to convert on the chances we get. It would be nice if the refs would actually call the penalties on Florida’s side when they commit a penalty. Even if it’s just one penalty on a play with multiple, just don’t ignore it!

Maybe the ESPN officiating analyst can break this down during game 5. Oh wait they won’t because they are Homer trash!!!

I’ve never seen a group of such whiny, embellishing, divers that disrespect both the refs and the game itself get so many calls. They are literally showing up the officials with their theatrics and yet they are bulletproof. I don’t understand it outside of the Bettman non traditional hockey market theme, the Campbell connection or both. It’s total HORSESHIT

Got to post this on r/hockey

Thank you for finding and posting this. I was disappointed Mess didn’t bring this up during the break. I mean, I guess he’s not the type to cry over spilled milk, so I can see him not commenting on the punch on Trouba, but it was three maulings— two of which were absolutely material to the outcome of the game. What would a Panther have had to do to get a penalty at that point? Take off his skate and stab someone?

Taking down Mika and Kakko in this video is at minimum worse than Wheeler’s hook. And then you give them a PP instead of a PS? You gotta let it go as the make up, or make it a PS and give leave it up to Igor and Babrov. What is the Rangers conversion rate on an open ice 2-1 from the red line in? You’ve gotta imagine that if Mika is left free there its about 70% to they score.

It’s infuriating because I disagree with the narrative of the past two games that the Panthers were dominant. The Rangers play a different style of game and have been a step or two off their game, because firing on all cylinders it wouldn’t be close, but the chances they’re giving up aren’t quality. Even when they’re in close, Igor is set, the traffic the Panthers are getting isn’t meaningful. Their goals tonight were garbage except for the OT which was a completely blown coverage and a beautiful snipe. But the first goal should have been called back because the guy jabbed Igor’s pad. On the flip side, the Rangers counter strike approach was working, so its bullshit not to call the hold or the trip when thats literally central to the game they play.

I know Lav knows he’s not getting any of the calls or help so its not worth complaining, but its like the league and everyone outside NYC doesn’t want the Rangers to win.

Where is Dolan with an insane letter to the league when you need it.

  16. mbsmilford

Automatic first down on the defensive hold against Zibby and 15 yards unsportsmanlike on the trip against kaako.first and goal on the three. Seriously want the league to answer why those two weren’t called.

  17. zerooneinfinity

For people saying kakko was tripped I think he stepped on the other guys stick so I’m ok with that one.

  18. SPammingisGood

ye, while their play in the 3. period was straight up garbage, we should have been on a 5v4 at LEAST to start the OT. FUCK THE REFS, what a performance for Florida yesterday. Super soft call on Lindgren as well.

  19. Qtpa2dx

The refs, ESPN have been awful!! We’re battling everyone in this series. LGR!!!

  20. RAH_thesungod

Not to mention troubs getting wailed in the face after the buzzer unprovoked. Guy just turned around and wailed him

  21. Grouchy-Power-806

He was tripped. If you slow it down, you can see it.

Wow. That shit was egregious. Two missed calls. Two!!!

  22. clunney14

The elbow attempt to Kakkos head while he’s on the ice is insane to me. Literally no reason for the Florida defenseman to go down a knee and drop his elbow. Can’t even imagine what would happen if that was trouba.

This whole clip pisses me off but it doesn’t make me nearly as mad as zbads insane lack of situational awareness with the blue line pass in OT which directly lead to the loss. I was still hopeful we could squeak out an ot win but we handed them a breakaway and then penalty that had to be called.

Well watching the replay certainly clears things up.
