Jason Robertson a frappé fort pour démanteler les Oilers après leur sortie en force lors de la première période du troisième match de la finale de la Conférence Ouest. Cela et bien plus encore dans la vidéo de hockey de la LNH d’aujourd’hui !

2-0 lead is the most dangerous lead n hockey.
Oh! And thanks for giving me a shoutout for my comment! 😉 Keep up the amazing work!
I disagree with everyone saying “the oilers lost this more than the stars won it”. Stop. There is no “the Oilers beat themselves”. The oilers scored five goals on themselves? People don’t give the Canucks credit for taking the oilers to seven. They aren’t giving the stars any credit for literally beating the Oilers. The Stars won the game. The STARS BEAT THE OILERS. The stars are a wagon. The Oilers have e two fantastic star players, but where is the rest of the team. Dallas is a team. Vancouver was a team. Edmonton has Connor Mcdavid and Leon Draisitl.
BUT IT DID!
All letting in the bad goal did was allow Stars to win in the 3rd instead of overtime. Stars were taking game 3 no matter what once they woke up in the second
Yeah, this was at least as much the Stars making a comeback as it was the Oilers falling flat. I don't like how the Stars tend to play 1st periods flat but they often grind and overcome other teams through the 2nd and 3rd periods. It's happened during the regular season and especially these playoff games.
At least the oilers scored in the second period, seems like they bank a few goals, then set cruise control on and it never pans out..
Oilers have been the better team in all 3 games so far (not as clearly as Florida has been in all 3 of those games, but I would say Edmonton has been better). They've beaten themselves. Sloppy defense at the blue line trying to rush in transition instead of securing puck and back breaking mistakes by Skinner are the reason they lost. Dallas is fantastic, but Oilers do look like they could beat them. And if the goalies were switched, this would be a sweep for Edmonton.
Not sure why they keep playing Skinner, watching the Canucks vs Oilers series, Pickard was the much better goalie.
Why is Skinner always down ? Loses lateral dexterity…he stinks. Oilers lack overall toughness as well.
Skinner try not to let in a bad goal in rvh: impossible
As a fan, I didn’t love seeing the Stars go into the 1st intermission down 2. But as someone who’s watched the Stars play this postseason, I just knew that they’d make adjustments and come back. I don’t know if it’s talked about enough, but it’s what they’ve done this whole time: make adjustments and win. It’s almost like they need that first period or that first game to see how they need to adapt to win. It’s like Alien or something.
First, I want to say that this is the kind of coverage that will keep me coming back. I have been critical of your coverage of Dallas on this channel over the last few weeks, but I felt like this video was a step in the right direction. It was fair, but it still kept your character, tone, and opinion in tact. This is good content, and I am hopeful that it continues.
Second, I appreciate the insight you gave in your last Edmonton/Dallas video. I understand that you have a family and it is hard to watch all of the games, and I get that it makes making a video after every playoff game difficult. I have littles myself, and I know how difficult it is to watch playoff hockey when these puck drops are so late. It’s brutal. I appreciate the effort to improve and the acknowledgment that Dallas fans had a right to be a little upset about the coverage they’ve received. I don’t think every YouTuber would take the time to address these concerns, so it really is appreciated. I understand that you aren’t always going for a “down the middle” fair perspective, and I am sure a lopsided viewpoint is more likely to generate clicks and generate engagement.
As far as your question goes—Game 3 was both a blown game for Edmonton and Dallas playing up to their potential. Dallas came out flat-footed in the first. Also, the D pairings weren’t working and they got that straightened out after the 1st Period. Dallas has played like this all year, though. They don’t play very well early in the game and then come roaring back. I think it is also just a symptom of their style of play. They wear you down with their forward depth, and they show up big in key moments. With Miro and Lindell on the back end and Otter in net, they are really tough to hold a lead against. Just ask last year’s Stanley Cup champs!
To be fair to the Oilers, the Stars pretty much owned Colorado last series, and I don’t really see the same thing here. Edmonton has surprised me a bit with their depth and defense being stronger than advertised and Skinner looked great in games 1 & 2. Oiler fans should stop hating on him so much for simply “regressing to the mean” a bit. The defensive breakdowns in their own zone opened the door for Dallas. Skinner is playing pretty well—you just can’t give Dallas that kind of time and space.
Sorry for another essay—keep videos like this coming!
Robertson just proved that he is nothing without Hintz! Dallas is not Stanley Cup ready!
johnsTon there’s a t he’s not a household name to you cause you don’t know his name
Edmonton did not get a single shot in the second until after Dallas had scored 3
Why tf are all your video titles the exact same
There are great teams in Dallas, and then there’s the Cowboys.
They need to just replace skinner with pickard once there’s 10 mins left in the 3rd cause somehow whether its for a shutout or just simply holding on to a victory, skinner always lets in at least 1🙄
It's pronounced rope, eh?
McHesus was -1 and he had 1 assist and 1 goal. I'm sorry, but the man is incredibly talented and an amazing skater and shooter but in order to actually be considered "The Best in the World" you have to play some defense /shrug
Why does Draisaitl even wear a mouth piece ?
Why not just chew gum ?
Total Stars comeback.
Skinner is such a liability. Why do they not just play Pickard? I don't get it.
johnsTON my guy, there is a T in that mans name. Also, its ok that nobody wants to credit the Stars when they win. People have been saying that to us and diminishing our efforts the entire playoffs now, we're used to it 😏
Hintz is back babbyyyy
Playoffs is about 'details'. First goal, McDavid doesn't apply enough pressure on Robertson and before that Nuge doesn't clear the puck out of their zone. Third goal, Desharnais whiffs on a clear and misplays the sequence afterwards. Fourth goal…Skinner could've stick checked or just stay tighter. Oilers are just shooting themselves in the foot with some of these plays.
Pasta won the world cup for Czechia! Just sayin'….
I really don't think Skinner is a legit starting goalie.
"Rupé" Hintz lmao. It's Roope.
It’s so frustrating watching nurse down on a knee totally taking himself out of the play, what a plug! Nice penalty at the end of the game as well dumbass! Stetcher is less of a liability
I think all you need to know about the biased perceptions is the difference in coverage between McDavid's goal and Robo's entire night. McDavid got a piece of a bouncing puck that the NHL ultimately ruled an own goal and he's being hailed for his scoring prowess. Robo almost singlehandedly wills his team to a win with a hat trick and it's all because of Skinner's failures apparently. If McDavid had scored an identical goal to Robo's 3rd, he'd get so much praise for his creativity and knack for finding holes. Instead Robo is just "lucky to have found a soft goalie". At what point do people acknowledge that maybe Dallas just has a good hockey team?
As a Dallas local, I have a (likely) unpopular opinion on this.
In the first period, the Oilers beat the crap out of the Stars in every way…skating, passing, physicality, and (obviously) on the scoreboard.
Here’s what I saw as the key to the Stars comeback in this game: Throughout the first period, every time a Star touched the puck, he got finished. That led to turning away from the hits, and getting rid of the puck as quickly as possible. When the Oilers stopped being so physical, the Stars started playing their brand of hockey. Once Dallas had the momentum, the Oilers simply couldn’t stop them.
One of the biggest weaknesses I see with Dallas right now is their passing. It’s just not as consistently great as it COULD be. It might be good for Modano to put on a passing clinic for these boys.
1:13 Wyatt who? Auto dislike
Hey eck, It was actually Ligma’s fault that the Oilers lost.
Edmonton was dumb to get rid of Campbell, he's a better goalie but they quit on him. Too bad cause he's a good guy, just needed to get through some tough times that all goalies go through.
Dime and Vinnie are looking over. Dallas will win on the 25th year anniversary of the cup getting chucked into Vinnie's pool.
Oilers eat nuts.
As a 15 year Oilers fan, watching that game has me actually hoping the team gets eliminated. They’re a complete joke.
I'm still confused about why anyone who has watched these teams play to this point thinks that Edmonton has a more than a puncher's chance in this series.
Ol' Skinner cant buy a post anymore , eh
Guy says he’s becoming a household name and mispronounced his name there’s a T in Johnston. absolute twat almost bad as the broadcast calling him Johnstone.
Bro supports a team that literally breaks the cap on scorers and paying out bonuses, then wonders how strong the team would be with an elite goalie. Canadian fans still dont understand thats not how any of this works. You have to actually put effort into managing your cap instead of being arrogant children who feel entitled to sign megastars.
Oil lost this. 100% .
Can't hold the post with a skate up against it.. really need to use the pad. The Stars changed their game up quite a bit in the second, camping out a player high in the neutral zone, which then stretches out the game and makes forechecking both more difficult and more dangerous. Given it's the #1 tactic against aggressive forechecking it's surprising the Oilers didn't adjust, you'd think would have expected it.
OMG, the one thing I remember from this game is that I DONT WANT TO HEAR RUUUUUPeii hintz ANYMORE!!! ITS ROOPE. please go listen to google translate or anything but ruupe sounds like a fucking shitty currency from the soviet union. its fucking Roope
Oilers cooked & done in game 5. Pikard will come but can’t save the day in time.,
Stars comeback this is very much like the team Ive watched this year. Roope getting back into the lineup is massive though he is the x factor centerman we need to compete with Draisaitl.
Skinner is getting way too much heat on this one when more of the blame falls on the Oilers' defensive play. He kept them in it even when his teammates just would not remove either the Stars or the puck from his crease. On the first goal there are three Oilers between Robertson and the net and one directly behind him Nobody blocks the shot or lifts his stick. The only effect any of them had on that goal was maybe screening Skinner. And what is even happening on that second goal? Someone falls over at the blue line and two Stars just waltz in and are at the net as the first shot hits Skinner. Bouchard needed to get more physical with his guy and move him away, and the other Star is just vibing there uncontested hoping someone tosses him the puck so he can tap it home. Ekholm eventually comes to get him, but the other Oilers come in waving their sticks aimlessly and accomplishing nothing. Every Star other than Ekholm's essentially has free rein and it's still Ekholm's man who gets his stick in front of Skinner's glove. The ice is too crowded for him to get a hold of the puck, and it squirts right back out to the Star in the back after he's made three saves. It's ridiculous.
Yes, Skinner let in a bad goal. I want to see less of that particular kind of goal from him. But he was fighting all game and keeping the Oilers in it. They HAVE to work with him and support him on that. How do you go into a playoff game knowing you have a goalie who is good when he has confidence and bad when he doesn't, and NOT fight for your life to keep the opponent from scoring? That mid season win streak happened because the Oilers took a big step forward defensively. You can still see some of that step in their play now (most obvious example is how much less McDavid is trying to take the puck into the offensive zone and go directly to the net, on his own, through three or four guys at once), but if they don't rediscover the rest of it and fast, they aren't leaving this round. Hell, they might not win another game. It just makes me mad.
