The only thing that truly beats us is ourselves. When we play aggressively and move the puck quick, not letting Rangers get into position, we smother them and dominate. Every game we have dominated the games but let the Rangers hang around. Excellent 3rd period. That is the play we need to have.
Keep pounding them, get in front of the net and shoot the damn puck! Oh, and when your in your defensive zone,,, get the puck out instead of dinking around with it! Mikkola give away gave the Rangers the tying goal…. GET IT OUT!

Man Jaws, its INSANE how the narrative has changed after this win. Just yesterday fans of every team in the league were uniting against us for Lomberg elbowing Vesey.
After the win, the Rangers fans are imploding and mocking their own players for having less points than Bob this series. Trouba also being obliterated by Rags fans for allowing the OT goal. The NHL may have the most fickle fans in all of sports.
Honestly this is a great rivalry NY/FLA.. I wished we could of faced the Canes but it is what it is.. However I think the longer this series goes on the better for us.. It's becoming apparent to me were the better conditioned team with a little more depth, and this deep run might be taking a toll on the Rangers.. If we can pull off a victory in MSG this series should be in the bag.
Enjoy the moment, I was in the game chat, all of you went doom and gloom when Trocheck scored first, and gloomy again when Laffy tied it (Lafraniere is killing you guy's, barely missed earlier in the game by hitting iron) and double the gloom when it went to Overtime. Panthers fans are soo freaking wishy washy, saying the Panthers are cooked, their players suck, and Bob was terrible, to immediately saying they are going to win the cup, the Rangers suck, and that Igor is over rated after scoring 2 in the second, right back to them again saying their players suck, Bob is mid, and half the team should get benched, to again saying the Rangers are cooked etc etc. In all the games that have been played so far, have any of you heard me lose faith in my team? It's like every little setback causes Panther fans to fall apart. trust me, there is a shit ton of things I can say about the Rangers this series, the Panarin line being MIA, the Power Play going 1 for whatever, and the stupid penalties they are taking that the Panthers are feasting on, but I don't, because I have faith this team can overcome adversity, I said it in chat that I had faith the Rangers would tie it in the third and they did, and OT hockey is about capitalizing on opportunities, Sucks to be me because I knew you would score the minute Wheeler was called for hooking. But I never have seen a fanbase as faithless as the Panthers fans have been since game 1. Getting doom and gloom, to becoming cocky. As for the game itself, was a good game, and you guys played as if your backs were to the wall. Igor has been the better goaltender this series, keep underestimating him Panther Fans, an Old Vas, and Swaney, are not in the same league as Shesterkin. Igor may just steal 2 games from you. Game 5 is going to be big, Hope the Rangers come out like they did in the first period of this game. Look forward to chatting with you guys and catch you Thursday. 2 more to go. I think Bob played okay, the 2nd goal wasn’t on him since it was deflected off of his back. Also I don’t know how of “almost in the back of net” shots I can anymore because it’s Barkov, Vladdy, Tkachuk, Okposo, etc. Overall, the 1st line is literally the best thing since the table before it got broken lol.

I'm actually glad for you guys what a game at least I don't have to hear the Panthers are dominating the Rangers but Igor is the only thing keeping the Rangers alive BS. They were lucky they saved their season last night and it was so close to being over. Maybe I don't have to listen to the Rangers suck anymore. I said this is going to 7 games even when the Rangers were up 2-1 in the series the teams are very evenly matched it's very close. Their going to need an exorcist to beat the Rangers they played very well last night if Zib doesn't hit the crossbar damn that was so close. At least we didn't have any fluky goals last night.

Honestly, Igor is the only reason that this is not a 3-1 Florida series so far. The last two games have been suffocating, we just need to keep the same game going. The Rangers are 💯 a team of opportunity and make very disgustingly good use of any small mistake.
Panthers absolutely deserved to win – no doubt. Shesty kept us alive and any hockey fan will agree Shesterkin is the best goaltender in hockey. See you in game 7 ….it’s going to be epic.

I don't think the Rangers can take this abuse much longer. I mean they will be jabbed and punched until it is a TKO in 6 or 7 because they will just have nothing left by the end of the series. I'm a Ranger fan so I'm hoping they can keep bending, weaving, and finding ways without getting broken, but man after a great 1st period they were just dominated. Still took it to OT. But the way the series is going, if you ignore the scores, the OTs, the stats and just focus on the flow of the game it is tilting more and more in the Panthers favor. It feels like the opportunities for the Rangers are becoming rarer and that onslaught by the Panther forecheck and high danger chances are just more frequent. The Rangers need some home ice advantage and some freshness from somewhere for Game 5 because that one could be the one they don't recover from if they lose and if the Panthers keep getting their way. Rangers need more of what they had in Game 2 and more of what they had in the 1st period there.

Ranger fan here. Panthers are relentless and I feel they win in 6 now. SOG a very overrated stat, however all this pressure will take a toll on the Defense.. A game of inches for sure. Rangers could have been up 2-0 in 1st but didnt get the bounces. Our stars have decided to take this series off…so far. Terrible pass by Zibanejad and yes I wpould have much rather them call a penalty shot

This is why icing the puck with the 4th line on the ice cost them the goal. They overmatched us and Fox just had an incredible spin on a wide puck and laf batted it perfectly. That’s all skill… that being said the penalty in OT saved our bacon and it’s a tied series that still could go either way but feels like we’ve been dictating play. As it shifts back and we know this team on the road is one of the better ones why not go into MSG and do what we want and come back and win in 6. Would be nice but team can’t make mental lapses like let them tie it.

It's now a best out of 3 guys, so just like most people predicted, this will be a 7 game series. As a Rangers fan, the Rangers need to figure some things out, but as long as Igor plays the way he has been, the Rangers may still pull this out, but it won't be easy for either team.
