Woo, RHD, is 23. Drafted 37OA in 2018. Sounds like he’s moving on

  2. I really want to see Woo get at least one chance in the NHL but it’s looking less and less likely. When he was called up this season but didn’t play I got the feeling that it probably won’t happen

I was always high on Woo, if we’re not resigning him hope he goes on somewhere and has a successful career. Hoping this doesn’t turn into a Jalen Chatfeild case. Not sure why we gave up on him.

Never understood why everyone hyped this guy so much.

This just feels like a pretty typical end-of-season post on Instagram. I wouldn’t jump to any conclusions.

I wish he’d gotten the chance to play at least one game with the Canucks. Hopefully he can catch on somewhere and get a shot at the NHL. San Jose wouldn’t be a bad choice.

Same draft year as Quinn Hughes. I remember him and Quinn sharing a Mic’d Up video during their prospects training camp and he had more “camera presence” than Hughes. Obviously, their career trajectories went in two drastic ways. He just seemed like a mainstay over at Abby and was never called up until really late this year and even then he never got to play. I don’t think he’ll leave since he’s been one of Abbotsford’s regulars and management has been committed to him for so long but I also won’t be surprised if he goes to another team for better NHL playing opportunities.

Another guy stuck in the developmental blackhole that was the Benning era. Genuinely wonder how Woo would look if he was coming into Abbotsford under the current development set up compared to what Benning had when he turned pro.

Feel bad for the kid(s).. coming that close, attending multiple big team training camps and then waiting on a call up that doesn’t happen. Some must handle that a lot better than others…

Why are people suggesting the Canucks are too deep to give this guy a spot? Their right side is overrated with a 34 year old Myers who had his only good year this year and a 35 year old Cole who struggled. They could definitely give Woo a shot with the good years he had in Abbotsford.

Maybe the real Stanley Cup was all the friends we made along the way?

Was very high on him and Gadjovich. Now both are gone. Feels bad. Kole Lind I also thought was a big time steal. Lol. Goes to show how little I know.

Good luck! Was always high on Woo as a prospect hope to see him on a NHL roster one day

I like that his name is the chorus to a Wings song.

He’s not gonna play here,, he should find a team like San Jose and see if he can impress

  16. Oof did our development suck under benning

I’ve seen him play a few times against the reign and he always had a presence. Good luck to wherever he goes
