if you only read this sub, you’d think we played the second half about as well as San Jose did
Chicago really was the most consistent team throughout the year
Funny that the media were clamoring over the Oilers in the second half, but they were only 2 points better.
« Look Lisa, you can see the exact moment Petey’s knee rips in half »
FYI, your Change Rank and Points columns are switched
Bruins and Canucks got high on the same supply..
Games were def closer in H2, but the team played great all year.
Considering we lost Demko and Petey was playing on 1 knee in the 2nd half… not too bad.
Our Defensive structure leveled up for sure, I think the Athletic in their playoff preview had us as the 2nd best Defensive team in the league since Jan 1st.
Weird that Edmonton isn’t 1 for second half. At least how their fan base was talking
Most of those loses came when Demko got hurt (sorry Casey you did awesome)
I would like to see GF/GA. The first half appears to be more of a run and gun style. Once Demko was hurt, they played a more conservative style.
Get the fuck out of here with stats and shit. Hockey is all about the feel and eye test. And how Canadian your team is.
We just weren’t Canadian enough.
😑
All the pundits talking about regression just got so excited when we went from a top 3 team to a top 5 team. Acting like Nostradamus.
There is no cup in this teams future. Game 7 against the oilers showed us that.
Edm should be 6th not tied for 7th, if they actually had 53 pts instead of 52
I made a lot of money on the teams that had huge changes either way. Betting against the bad teams and betting for the rising teams to cover -1.5 goals.
Oilers fan here. You guys have nothing to worry about. You are well set up for future success. All the key areas are set, including coaching. I’m looking forward to the playoff battles in the years to come!
Confirmed! Chicago Blackhawks are the most consistent team in the league.
We talk a lot about our dropoff but holy fuck Winnipeg what the hell
