On the last goal that the Panthers made, Zib faked a head hit trying to draw a penalty, instead of going after the puck he was bumped off of. In 94 they were down 3 games to 2 to the Devils and came back to win. It's not over. However I don't really see a Messier in this group.
They need more shots. Their power play is terrible right now. Bob has shown time and time again his weak spots are high glove and high blocker. I know I'm not a coach but it's not rocket science. Instead of passing around a million times for a predictable slap shot by Mika from the face off dot…….. They need to cycle around and just rip top corner shots from the high slot.

I'd like to think that with their backs to the wall, they'll reach down and find a way to get it done, but they are Florida's bitches. Laviolette is coaching scared and his panic has spread to the skaters.
Some guys shine in the spotlight. Some melt. Each of these guys was offered a chance to be a legend in New York. The overwhelming majority just disappeared.

It would help if Panarin contributed literally ANYTHING on his shifts. Any time I focus on him while he’s on the ice, he’s just coasting, loafing, standing straight up, putting zero effort in to win a race or a battle. Like, dude is an ENTIRELY different human being in the post-season.
He’s a -8 right now. Actual dog water performance. Pretty sure Bobrovsky has more points than he does, and he’s not allowed to leave the paint. My old man and I joke that someone paid him off to just give up, because that’s what it looks like. 🤷🏻♂️
