@Rangers de New York

    My dad is about to be 88. The last time they won was the year I was born. I just want to watch them win the cup with him before it’s too late.

    We will come back stronger than ever next year. LGR

    All past Cup winners go through crushing heartbreak on their journey. All the way back to the 80’s when the Oilers passed the Islanders locker room, seeing them beaten, bleeding and bruised, and realizing THIS is the required sacrifice.

    Washington won the President’s trophy in 2010, 16 and 17 and washed out, finally won in 2018. That’s a LONG period of dominance before finally winning. Tampa getting smoked in the opening round to Columbus before going off. Vegas got outworked out West then got huge and checked the shit out of any opponent between them and the Cup last year. Florida can cry they were injured but Vegas was WAY more committed to hitting and winning in that series. And now, Florida just used what they learned on us. Time will tell if the Rangers learned.

    The questions: will Drury make the right adjustments? Did the Rangers become enlightened what it takes? Are they willing to commit to what it takes to win 16 games, not 10?

    Pretty painful finish no doubt, but on the whole the season was pretty fun to watch.
