It's called there are losers
Special teams needs to be overhauled. Regular season OT performance was awful and the power play is ineffective to the point where it's comical.
I also just find it perplexing that the top talent who will absolutely go on the warpath in the regular season just seemed to vanish when the playoffs start.
A lot of the games in these playoffs felt very winnable.
Oilers were the better team when they had more players. The fact the best player in the world had to whine to the media about a lack of powerplays is pathethic. Florida in 4.
First time I saw your program and you're really good. Your clearly a Dallas fan, but you still respect the other team. I'm a total Oilers fan, but enjoyed watching your program.
This is the danger of the oilers. All the need is for their world class talent to make a couple of insane plays and then the whole team buys into playing a tight checking, reserved defensive game.
That was a hell of a run and a great series Dallas Stars. Best of luck to you next year

The loss obviously stings, but when it’s all said and done it’s quite possible our run took us through the 3 most recent Stanley Cup champs. Feels like we just ran out of gas.

Another oilers fan here. I'm truly amazed that dallas didn't get another one and push game 6 into OT. Y'all have a damn good team, and it won't surprise me one bit if they make another playoff run next year.
The Stars can't get past that game 6 of the WCF. They always seem to run out of steam. Maybe if the first two opponents weren't so tough they would've have the energy to get through. No letting up this time a year and that's what they did in game 5. They didn't play to this level in the last game. Because they were out of steam. Same ol' story with this team it seems. Just can't muster the energy to make the plays to get the goals especially in the PP. PDB and Spott need to bring in some help with the PP.
You guys in Dallas put up one hell of a fight and made us work for every inch of ice every minute of every game. Kudos as well to all the great and respectful fans down there. Better luck next year 🤘
all respect to the Stars fans you have a great team, just comes down to a battle of inches. I feel bad for Joe, hes been just so close so many times and its probably his last shot. All you can do is take this and build on it for next year.
Dallas special teams was the big difference maker in this series, but the shot finishing was non existent, and compounded by too much passing to find perfect (missed) shots.
Our big guys shrunk, and depth wasn’t as impactful, and this was not the Stars of the regulars season / first 2 series. Edmonton stepped up to the plate and elevated their play, Stars did not.
Jamie Benn, having a pretty decent look on the pp last night only to pass it for no reason was their pp in a nutshell all series. And frankly him too historically.

Oilers fan here. Thank you for the great series, Dallas is an amazing team and it was refreshing to play against a team with a pleasant and respectful fan base. I will be routing for the mavericks in the NBA finals from now on because the Dallas fans deserve a championship!
I have only watched the first two minutes of the video so far, but my take here is Dallas has a chance to be even better next year. I am extremely hopeful for this offseason, and I truly hope we can sign some awesome people to fill our bottom 2 d pair, and some serious AHL defensemen. Dallas has a solid 10 forwards, and 3 defensemen figured out. 16m to sign 6 players. My least favorite contracts atm are Suter, Marchment, and Faksa.
I would take Pavelski in a Perry role, but league min, line 4 mins. Used more for his leadership. That brings us to 11 forwards, duchene would be #12. With that said, it would be rough to let steel and smith walk. I would almost prefer them being resigned, and faksa and marchment traded away.
Defensemen, I want Tanev and harly resigned, that brings us to 5, I would love for us to sign 2 great defensemen and trade suter. Idk what is feasible with all these no movement clauses, but id almost let suter walk sending him to the AHL.
Wedgewood on a 1m or less contract would be great.
So now it’s, is 16m enough to sign pavelski, duchene, tanev, harly, wedgewood, and one new defensemen? Probably.
Is that going to get us to win? No, I think we would need to replace suter and faksa. Ideally Sam steel for faksa, and hakenpaa for suter.
The Dallas Stars didn’t show up. Sometime opponents cause you to faulted but that was not the case. I do not understand how they look solid against the Knight the last 5 games, dominating over Avs, and then just fail to execute against the worst goalie they saw. I don’t say this to be spiteful, Oilers are AMAZING and their talent was talked about ad nauseam during the series. I just personally feel the Stars need to let the older players go and Otter needs to work on that high glove to advance further next year.

Stars blew it again, It does not matter the coach, what players etc, this team just can't get over the hump and win the cup. I don't know how they beat Vegas and Colorado but lots to Edmonton and thier HORRIBLE D and Goalie. Also speaking of Goalies , Oettinger still is not good enough it seems, not clutch. I am so mad and frustrated now.
