1. Hockey has turned into pro wrestling in a lot of ways and Frank is a great heel. Highly entertaining. Doesn't tell you what you want to hear, but what he actually thinks. I appreciate that.

  2. This guy is a pigeon!
So much talking without really revealing any real information! What a guy! Thanks Frank! You greasy bastard!

  3. Good interview, but when frank talked about Quinn hughes not getting the Norris without hronek, I personally don't think that's true, he was this good before hronek. Every player you put with hughes is instantly better, hronek had a good year because of hughes. I would love to keep him but wouldn't you trade him if you could get a top 6 winger, which we need more than any other position.

  4. Hronek may have helped Quinn to receive a Norris but he never helped him get further in the playoffs.

  5. Have a question guys ,I was looking at cap friendly ad just had a thought, would the Canucks through about rfas next yr where j Hugh’s is a RFA.is there a chance they could go for it.

  6. Has Frank ever got anything right? It's really obvious that someone pissed him off in Vancouver because you can feel the disdain whenever he talks about them.

He keeps saying how all these guys are gone because of the cap, yet after a Mikheyev buyout they have 28 million in cap. So the simple fact is they can't sign all 9 guys but they can absolutely re-sign any combo of them based on who they see ad a priority.

    Lindholm 6.5-7
    Hronek – 7-8
    Myers. – 2
Still leaves them with 10-12 million to add a top six winger and a bottom pairing dman .

That's just one option, you can trade Hronek sign Tanev and save another 5 million for Zadorov which leaves 10-12 million to really add to the top six. You could then use Hronek assets for a Necas or Ehlers and sign Toffoli.

There's also Raty, Lekkerimakki, Podkolzin, that likely join the team and in Podz case an expanded role.

    Necas 7 million
    Lindholm 7 million
    Zadorov 5 million
    Toffoli 4 million
    Tanev 3 million
    Myers 2 million.
    28 million total

    Boeser – JT – Podz
    Toffoli – EP – Necas
    Hogz – Lindy – Garland
    Raty – Suter Karlson

    Hughes – Tanev
    Soucy – Myers
    Zadorov Juulson
    Demko -Silovs.

Tanev, Myers and Zadorov would trade term for less AAV to keep cap hit down and would likely agree to it based on their known desire to stay or return in Tanevs case. Same with Toffoli.

Vancouver has always been a players preferred destination and the success of this season is huge for that.

Suter can also be moved and replaced internally Aman, Lekkerimakki, etc to save 1.5 million.

Bottom line this lineup while younger is far better on paper and took five minutes to create. The dollar amounts are all within what those guys likely get unless they choose short deals on shitty teams but since all those guys are older and all want to win, fit and term is likely more important. Tanev could get 4 somewhere else but hes a guy along with Myers who I think would take a bit of a discount especially if an extra year is added.

Toffoli loved it here so did his wife and was a great fit. He's also moved 5 times in 3 years, so again term and fit matters.

Lastly and this would be risky and not ideal but Garland could be traded to free up 5 million and you bank on Lekkerimakki having a smooth transition without going to Abby much like EP and others do all the time.

  7. I miss Chatfield as a Canuck. It was strange on a team with a terrible blueline that such a responsible defenceman couldn't find a home, but at the time they wanted every defenceman to be a dynamic join the rush kind of guy, despite most of the ones they had at the time not being great skaters.

  8. This fu*cking guy again 🤦‍♂️
You know, I expect these low level, Below the Mendoza Line type of guests from Donnie & Dhali on their hayride of a show.. Not you guys! I'm not even gonna lie. I think I'd prefer another interview with that random season ticket holder dude that sat behind the glass rather than have to listen to this Seravelli guy. & I'm aware I don't have to watch.. but I like you guys..
Just aspire to do better, thats all.

  9. Why keep having this guy on the show? Especially given his obvious disdain for Vancouver and the entire Canucks org. He rarely actually speaks fact it’s just his opinion on things he doesn’t actually know about!

  10. Not always the biggest fan of Severvalli, he can seem to carry a mission letter and or a planted message , but no doubt about it, he is knowledgeable and thinks logically, he is a very good talking head for the podcast.

  11. Hronek may have had a lacklustre second half and playoffs. So did most of the Canucks' roster. He was the only significant difference from last year, prior to the deadline acquisitions. Unfortunately, his minimum arbitration is $7.5 million per season.

  12. The Canucks could easily trade Hronek for the 1st round pick the Canes would want and do a 3 team deal if they wanted.
Personally with Demko in net I absolutely sign Hronek and Tanev for the right side and Zadorov and Hughes making the Canucks extremely strong defensively.
When Willander, D EP, Kudryavtsev… are ready you can ease them in with with vets helping them along.

  13. Canucks overachieved this season. At times magical. They however squandered their chance to do something very special. It was inexcusable and disappointing to learn that I care more than the actual Canuck players do. They played fraidy-cat hockey for nearly 6 periods and decided to only play the last few minutes of game 7. There is either actual collusion in the league – Rogers/ Betway. Or they don't care to show up when it actually matters. either way they lost me as fan. NHL = WWF
