Panthers have not faced an offensive juggernaut at all this post season. Vancouver prepared the Oilers for the panthers.
I think for Florida I hope they are cocky because their path wasn’t the same as last year where they were the 8th seed and upset an elite Boston team, took out a lucky leafs team, then beat an insane Carolina team in a sweep where they were second best every game. By the time they got to the finals they were gassed.
This year the Atlantic was not good thus the Panthers took out an injured and older Tampa squad, a Boston squad that lost their 2 best Cs last summer and overachieved this year and then got lucky to face an inept rangers team instead of a canes team that was far better. To me this years canes haven’t faced a tough opponent at all yet whereas the Oilers had to go through a good Dallas squad.

Florida won both meetings this year. But that was with Pickard in net both meetings. The way Edmonton playing defense going be craziness of a series. For me difference going be Edmonton PP as Florida gave Rangers 14 PP in 6 games (do that vs. Edmonton Panthers in trouble as you know how good our PP is) Connor needs 6 Assist to bust Gretzky record for most Assist in playoffs season. Since the playoffs the Oilers have overcome and achieved the highest level of their A game, 5 on 5 they are playing the best defensive game ever and the special teams are the best ever, there’s not any team in the league right at this point that can beat them in any series, Oilers in 4.
