I'm confident the Cats will play better next game, especially defensively. Do they need to match the Oilers intensity? No, they just need to play smarter keep the pressure and suffocate them. I say Cats in 5 if they win Monday and 6 if they don't because they can win in Edmonton.
Skinner is looking more like an AHL goalie than an NHL goalie. For fuck sakes, just run Pickard already.

Bobrovsky can be figured out, and if he's the only thing keeping them alive it won't end well
Nurse and Ceci need to be traded. Oilers need a staring goaltender and move skinner to back up.
Panthers are only warming up. Skinner will be in trouble in the next games.
What will be interesting to see:
I expect the Panthers to play stronger when the series continues.
But if the Oilers keep up this pressure on Bobrovsky, the main question will be if he can continue with performances like this or not.
I’m a Carey price fan but when ever I see Bob in the playoffs he and playoff price are my two fav players to watch in playoffs there so fun to watch
I say Florida in 4. If it goes 7 I give it to Edmonton.
You folks who think Edmonton is going to fold didn’t watch every game this season like I did , from 2-11-1 to start the season to now and a 16 game winning streak in between, this team is battle tested , this wasn’t the oilers best game , this is how they play all the time , the puck doesn’t always bounce their way but they are relentless , and the oilers can play it any way you want it better than anyone, fast and skilled or down and dirty, oilers were lazy on a couple backchecks last game they will fix that , Dallas had us down 2-1 in the series, we didn’t panic , we just won 3 in a row.

As for the twats on here making ridiculous comments like McDavid is shit and Cats in 4, these are the guys who have bet money they can’t afford and they make these comments to try and soothe themselves, take my advice, don’t bet so much and suck your thumb instead!
This is what having an elite goalie does to you as a team. Florida got outstrategized, but Bob gave Maurice an extra out to figure it out and adapt to this before there are consequences. This also builds frustration on the oilers, making them a little more hesitant to keep doing that system that hasnt worked for them before
bobrovsky is BEATING ASSSS
Edmonton's offense was excellent in game 1. Bobrovsky was Bobrovsky which is slightly better than excellent. Still the man cannot do it alone. Oilers attack will pay off. No one expected the Oilers to be here. Now they need to prove they belong etched on the Cup. I love both these teams and will be happy either way it goes.
First goal was good example how McDavid made harsh mistake overattacking and Barkov made him pay of that mistake. That's something a captain should not do.

florida beating edm with poor performance tells something. this was more florida not being ready than edmonton being unbeatable….
basically the new NHL rule is who cares what your roster is, make sure your goalie is the best in the league and has the best highs in the games, and you chilling!
Watching that first goal, seeing that Nurse and Ceci were the defensive pair against an odd-man rush pretty much said it all. Those two are absolute pylons on the defense.
They have to shoot high.every low shot was eaten up by bob.bring back the slap shot a the piont.
