Trade Marner the team needs a big shake up
Mitch is worth 9.7 million not 12 mill thats about 97 points a season and hes not clutch .trade him
If Mitch agrees to a trade and he has a list of teams, it would be a win for the Leafs regardless of the return!! The return is just the extra cheese but the 10.9 million in cap room created by said trade is the Jumbo pizza and the return is the extra cheese!! Cheers! Btw are you both brothers? I ask because I'm sure I did read it a couple years ago.
The problem has always been goaltending. The rest of the team is not as bad. Samsonov Anderson Campbell were all pretty bad goaltenders and they have not had success anywhere else. Lot of the time the leafs scores then the goaltenders usually give up 2 bad goals after. Marner has one problem and he holds on the puck and dances around and passes up good chances to score. This can be fixed. If he takes pay cut then I say we keep him at 9mil max. We need to add couple of good d man

Marner trades this offseason. And hopefully JT gone next offseason. This era of the Leafs was a total failure and complete disappointment. Time for drastic changes. Build from the net out, get two elite defencemen.
Failure is shanahan 's middle name they won't trade either tavares or marner ! They will bring back core 4 and marner might walk for nothing next year .this year is a write off and we have to wait for marner and tavares to go free agency and walk to clear the cap space

It just makes me sad when I watch Florida. Total team buy-in with a coach that just gets how to motivate. Edmonton with a leader who wants to win more than anything. He gets what "legacy" means.
I just don't see any of this with the Leafs. A complete culture change needs to happen. I don't know what that looks like.

The Leafs are in a division with teams that are soo far ahead in development that it's silly. Just look how well built Florida and Boston are. Solid goaltending, good mobile D and forwards who are not afraid to mix it up and muck it out in the corners. Selling off Marner will not fix this team. It was built as a regular season contender and needs a complete teardown.
The Leafs are in an absolute mess!… From Pelley 4 week excuse and giving Shanahan another year. I like how Chad mentioned about Tavares needing to GO! as well as Marner. Then the Defence is also in need of help!, and last but not least GOALTENDING!!!!.

Hard to keep Mitch around at 11+ million only to turtle in the playoffs. We've seen teams make bold moves to make a run for the cup. Perhaps our big bold move is letting Marner walk for nothing. I think they could get 4 players with the Marner and Tavares cap space. Spend it on defense and a reliable goalie, throw in gritty forwards that want to win and just maybe we can get past the 2nd round for a change.
Let theTavares and Marner lapse and next season let the chps fall where they may. Ttreliving could use the new cap space to form the team that he and berube wants. If the season is a failure. Shanahan can go. Only the Leafs can put millions of dollars in the team and hire a cartoon character to manage the team (Dubas = Eggbert from the fognorn leghorn films). If they can't bring themselves to unload Shanahan because he is making them too much money. Fine. Do what they did with Burke. Make him run everything else except the on ice product.
IF MM doesn't waive his nmc Toronto fans will hate him forever…and he still lives in the GTA.
