[Seravalli] Sources say candidates in the Carolina GM search have been notified that the team plans to fill the role internally.
Believe that means Eric Tulsky will become the next Canes GM. He has been interim GM since Don Waddell resigned to join Columbus.

As we all expected. Do your due diligence on all other candidates, but we knew the man was already in the building.
Happy to see what Tulsky has in store for us!

Hey Tulsky, wanna win support quickly?

I appreciate the team doing their due diligence, but also can’t help but feel this was an inopportune distraction. Hard to sign extensions, trade, talk to pending UFAs, hire Wolves coaching staff etc if you aren’t even sure you are going to have the job in a month. But hopefully this gets sorted soon and I trust Tulsky to get the jobs done.

They did their due diligence as any team should and made the correct call. No better candidates out there than what we have internally.
Tulsky didn’t interview for GM spots for no reason

You mean we don’t get Chuck Fletcher??? We’re screwed!
On a real note this made me breathe a literal sigh of relief. I was coping with the possibility of having a Jarmo type but promoting Tulsky is the right move for the org. Just hope this isn’t one of the myriad of things Frank is wrong about…

Whelp let’s see the results. Necas sign or trade is a huge test. This UFA class is a huge test.
Tulsky could go scorched earth and build his own team for the next window.

Cool. Interested to see how his role in the brain trust changes or if they bring in someone to help with that either more analysis or in a more relationship role. But I think he’s someone you want to keep in the org so if he’s wanting the promotion, give him a shot

I’m happy he’s staying, but this means that we won’t have someone with deeply established relationships with the rest of the GMs. We’ll see if he’s able to work the difficult trades that Don did.
