Let’s not put to much pressure on ourselves. As for Florida fans – They have no energy. We have to be our own source of energy in Sunshine. Florida fans are a 180 flip of Oilers fans – So on the road, we gotta create our own belief, confidence and energy.
We cannot over think simple plays. We cannot go for the highlight reel goals.
We need bodies in front of Bob. If Bob can’t see, he can’t stop anything.
We also have to make more space on the offensive blue line. They pressure us hard at the point, so we need little passing plays to spread out their aggressive attack.
Move the puck up high, then quickly down low, then a pass into the slot for a one-timer OR create a crash the net play. Once we show confidence, it will make Florida second guess themselves, once Florida start doing that, we will have shooting and passing lanes open up for us.
If we hate a contingency plan for Florida’s over aggressive defensive play, we can break their armour. We break that armour of confidence, this Florida team won’t know what to do. Which means Bouchard / Our defence will have more space and time to make plays – Which will lead to more team offensive success.

I see these first games as 'intros' due to the facts of:
a) different division
b) different conference
c) barely seen each other throughout the regular season
d) different team 'look' before trade deadline, compared to after trade deadline
e) playoff hockeys' always plays out differently than regular season
f) 'atmospheric' and 'environmental' factors always changing due to adaptational adjustmemts <- this alone, makes the mental Mind more relaxingly stable as composure, can always be the exposure
g) overall Health (individual, team, organization plus, everything dealt from opposition- ie: players, consistent facility temps., emvironmental weather, flight adjustments, etc.)
h) overall, daily Mental & Physical preparations (team based and individual) before, during, and after each practice, game, tournament, etc.
i) …and so on, etc., etc.
All of the above listed, are obvious factors and obviously, adaptive adjustments will always be preped for presentation.
Oilers, team, staff, organization…yoU are yoU for a reason and it's ok.

First game was a victory for the Oilers. Losing the first game always works in their favor anyway. Their victory is already being played out in the minds of both teams. The McDavid clan now believe they can beat Florida in 5. And the Panthers know it.

It's Oilers vs bobrovsky… Florida is a mediocre team and their defense is sub par… bobrovsky is insane. All the Oilers need to do is get bobrovsky at his weak side which is his gloves side as he has 16 goals scored on him on the glove side. They will figure him out in game 2
