The league only suspends players in the finals if they play for certain teams. He will not even get fined. He doesnt play for the St Louis Blues. They got suspended twice for much less but it will not happen to Leon. He isnt Barbashev or Sundqvist, and a Boston Bruin didn't put his face into the boards knowing a hit was coming.

What did you think of the Ekblad chokehold on Bouchard and Bouchard tapping out like they're in UFC? Thought it deserved a mention, don't see that in most NHL games.
The Oilers have always been dirty. Watch their run in the playoffs last year. When they get frustrated because the other teams are not playing like it's early October, the Oilers start throwing elbows and sticks around.
The Edmonton Head Hunters cant even cheap shot their way to winning one against the Panthers.

I had TO finishing first in the Atlantic with FLA, BOS & TB taking the next 3 spots (in whatever order) with the rest of the Atlantic teams missing out on the playoffs.
By the end of the regular season:
After seeing FLA impose their will on my Sens, shutting them out 3 times, even after the Sens made far greater efforts to battle FLA (following that firsr shut out loss), I was absolutely convinced Florida would win the Cup.
Today:
I'm more convinced than ever that this SC is FLA's to lose. We will see of course (perhaps McDavid has something extraordinary in him to change the series???). Anyway, good luck to both teams.

not gonna lie discovered you during the our leafs series last year, and as much as people come here for the Schadenfreude (?) I find you a real honest hockey guy and appreciate you. As a Panthers fan who saw david booth and weiss targeted for years with no protection from the league, I would be beyond shocked to see anything come from this, and this is why I have no problem finally having guys on the team that walk that line. With that said, I expect this team to focus on the play on the ice, we spent the boston series laughing at them wasting energy trying to pick fights for a guy that got out cheap shotted for once in his career. It cost them the series, Barkov is not marchand, if anyone deserves a revenge campaign is him, but the whole team knows he'd rather have the cup than an injured foe, and that's what the team will do.
series is going just as i expected…basically st louis 2019.

IF the refs don’t huddle up and make that call after the fact and distract Florida with that power play, there would be a bench riot and a lynching via the gallows in the stands – mark words, there would be bedlam in the streets I say, “Bedlam!”
It wasnt 6 on 4 with the OEL delay of game, it was 5 on 3 and the Oilers still failed to score.
I can see Edmonton stealing a game or two at home. But winning 4/5? Nah, they're cooked. Florida forecheck has them swimming every time, PP has been stuffed in a locker, offense has completely dried up, and they haven't scored a 5v5 goal since Dallas game 5. Skinner could have a prime Brodeur performance the rest of this series and it wouldn't matter because the Oilers can barely even get pucks on net, much less score them. Edmonton fans are real whiny about the refs, but the refs aren't making them score 1 goal in 6 periods lol. The better team is gonna win this series which sucks for McDavid cuz dude is playing his heart out every shift and carrying a greyhound bus of passengers behind him.
Well now the Oilers made the Panthers mad. If I haven’t already lost all respect towards Draisaitl, I lost even more respect for him now.

The justification for not suspending Drai is that the league loves the Oilers and in particular McDrai. And look at that, not even a fine. Garbage league.
If I were the Oilers, I would pray that Barkov is fine. Because if he is not. I'm getting flashbacks of the Canucks v. Bruins. The panthers are already up 2. I had this going 5 or 6. But now that Draisaidl poked the Beast, not sure the Panthers are going to take that lieing down. They were asleep game 1, awake game 2, now coming into game 3 you pissed in their cheerios. Panthers may just sweep the Oilies now.
