Toronto is a soft team.
They are not a playoff team and they have Gobbs of money but won't do what it takes , pay the penalties and get players to win in the playoffs.
Instead they pay 3 players equal or more than McDavid. That is ridiculous.
Unless Marner went , say , to Buffalo for Cozens and the Leafs used the 8 million saving to get a proven goalie , it is very , very likely it's the same old , same old in TO.
Put hey , maybe one of your players will get 70 goals , which would help how in the playoffs ?

Is All This Just Posturing by both parties. It's not every day when a ninety point player is traded. This can't be about Marner's playoff performance. What about Mathews, it's not like he light's it up during the playoffs either. That's going to be the task for Berube getting this core up for the playoffs.
