Danny pourrait éventuellement faire quelque chose de créatif. Il serait bien dans une nouvelle équipe avec une grande culture que les flyers ont eue.

    Far too much money.

Hasn’t been healthy or played well since before 2020

Doesn’t fit our timeline at all

    Isn’t a center

Are we gonna have posts for every player rumored in trade talks despite the fact 90% of them aren’t based in reality

I loved Laine a few years ago. I wouldn’t take the risk on him now, he has failed to recapture his early success and seems to have some mental health issues that take him out for long stretches. Unless the price is cheap I wouldn’t do it.

I dunno man. His offensive numbers aren’t bad, but he’s still a defensive liability, and is clearly not a star-calibur player he was hyped up to be. He’s a good player, just not really a valuable add for a team that’s rebuilding. He’s also racking up quite the injury history too.

Columbus would have to eat salary, given his injury history. We have enough bodies on the wing to begin with.

At just 26 years old, it’s definitely worth a look 👀 I actually wouldn’t hate this move

He would add size on the wing and would instantly become our greatest PP weapon. 8 mil a year is a lot… but 2 years is short. If the price isn’t outrageous, I’d do it.

Worst case scenario- you let him walk in 2 years, but his value is at an all time low and we won’t need serious cap space until Laine’s current deal is up, imo.

I have a hard time imagining Torts signing off on it… but if at the very least we could boost his value and flip him… we should look into it.

The cap is going up… but current core pieces will need raises soon, so it could be risky.

Can’t believe he’s only 26. Definitely a good player to take a flyer on for a team looking to win next couple of years. Just doesn’t seem to fit our timeline.
