  1. In

Trade Hronek and the money works. Theres holes to fill but space to do it.

  2. Lindholm could be/is blessing in disguise.

Guentzel or Ehlers be better money spent.

Even if Joshua is lost, use that money on a legit 3rd line centre (Chandler Stephenson?) or make a trade.

Blueger albeit decent, is not a game changer especially if you want Aman at 4th line centre. Blueger should not be 3rd line C unless there is an upgrade over Joshua at 3rd line Wing to play with Garland.

Pesce as a RH D; Myers 3×3; Zadorov at right price. Room for Juulsen or rookie D. Hronek is the question mark. Trade him for Ehlers (not sure no movement clauses off top of head) . . . But Hronek signed at reasonable term is best option.

Dillon on D is physical too. Do not over pay Lindholm or Zadorov.

  3. Why is it always doom and gloom? Clearly we're going to be able to sign SOME of these guys. Also, don't forget the cap went up.

  4. If Lindolm is out, then move Blueger (after resigning obvs) back to 3rd line, bring in both Guentzel to play with Miller and Boeser and bring in Toffoli to play with Hoglander and Petey. What a top-6 that is ! Resign Joshua and Blueger and that's our 3rd line.

  5. Zadorov was paid 3.75 mil this past season. Like Drance said, since he joined the NHL in 13-14, he had always performed like a 4th or 5th D-man, with the exception of this year's playoffs. For the intangibles he brings to the table, I would be happy to see him get 4.5 mil over 5 or even 6 years. 5 I would start to hesitate, and anything above would seem too much to me.

There were rumours that the Canucks may be able to obtain the RIGHTS to Guentzel for a late round pick from Carolina that gives the Canucks between now and July 1 to have exclusive rights to negotiate a long-term deal with him. I know this team has almost no draft capital, but for someone like Guentzel who I am pretty sure would complement Petey well, it may be worth that fourth round pick…

  6. Lindholm does not get $7 + million with any sort of term. That does not happen. The Canucks don't owe him anything. I would like to see him back, but not for the money he apparently wants. If he wants that much, goodbye. They don't need yet another bad contract to have to buy out in a couple years.

  7. Really hope we can get Guentzel. I feel like that is EXACTLY what our second line needs. Also hope we can keep Joshua with a semi-team-friendly deal. The Garland-Joshua magic must continue!

  8. No reason to over pay for a 3rd line c. Lind is good but he didn’t do anything to help them make the playoffs. They need a c that can contribute in both regular season and playoffs. Rather put some of the 7+ mill towards zadorov and a solid top 6 winger. Will interesting to see how this off season shakes out.

  9. I hope another team signs Guentzel for 7 years so we never hear about this again…..

  10. 1st and 2nd round draft choices pissed away for 2 rounds of playoffs by impatient management.

  11. Petterson is not even a 3 rd line center, leaning more toward woman hockey league , all those crybaby about petterson being a star , petterson had his chance to prove him self but petterson was invisible in playoffs and he will be invisible in future playoffs cause playoffs are too hard on his soft bones

  12. Drance is bang on…. Hopefully Lindholm walks away and the Canucks avoid a landmine contract that they’ll regret in a short couple years.
