If Kirby Dach’s healthy we’re contending for a wild card next year

  3. JohnyZoom

Don’t we get Calgary 1st in this situation? Straight in my veins baby

  4. Baronleduc

What do I think? I think it’s too earlier to expect the bottom team next season. A lot of things could happen this summer that might change several team rosters have have an impact.

  5. Beefiest_bison

It’s possible yeah, that’s around where we’d finish if we get to 82ish points.

In my estimation, we should end up bottom 5 once we continue to purge the roster of players that are no longer needed:

    -Dvorak
    -Savard
    -Kovacevic
    -Anderson

We will compete if for a playoff spot if Dach is healthy. Yes, I believe is that much of a difference maker.

Idk about bottom 10, but bottom 15 probably

  8. HonestDespot

I think if the team can be a bit healthier and if they add a middle 6 forward with some skill they can be playing relevant games in February and beyond next year.

Habs finish 3rd in Atlantic. Bold prediction.

Habs finish 11th from last. Italics prediction.

This seems about right to me give or take a couple of places. Obviously free agency, draft etc can change a lot but I see us as somewhere between 20-25 in the overall standings depending on injuries and potential career years.

Yessir the wild will be in that best worst team slot

It’s fun to try, but I really can’t pin down where this team lands next season. Depending on a whole bunch of factors, health being probably the biggest, this team could go anywhere from bottom 5 to wildcard imo.

I don’t think *everything* needs to go right in order for us to have a bit of success this year, but our roster still seems like it’s one or two key injuries away from being right back to the bottom.

That being said, many of our prospects are on the verge of making the team, so if we do have some injuries we might just get lucky with some surprise performances with our call ups.

Idk, it’ll be an interesting year for sure. A true mystery box season imo.

Another year fawning over some khl prospect nobody has watched?

IMO, The Habs will either squeak into the playoffs, or at least be close…

Game is not played on paper. You’d have a better time predicting the stock market or the next elections than ranking at the end of the next season.

Chicago seems to think they won’t be a bottom 5 team next season. Their G.M. mentioned in an interview that’s he’s looking for progression next year & thinks the team will finish around 7th from bottom.

San Jose will definitely finish bottom 3 again, but that’s the only sure thing. I can’t see Anaheim being happy with another bottom 3 finish or Columbus. I wouldn’t be surprised if Washington & Philadelphia tank. Philadelphia was one of the worst teams in NHL after Trade Deadline. Washington is aging fast.

As for Montreal, it will depend on whether Dach can play a full season or not. Montembeault getting more games will help, too (no 3 goalie rotation).

  17. liljew666

I see the team between 18-24 next year

  18. Fleche_de_feu

I think the habs will be further down like between 5-7 due to either monty regressing or getting the injury jinx again as its been for the last couple years

  19. What’s the point of this off-season hasn’t even begun

  20. SensitiveFungus

Way too early. But Habs are battling for a WC if they stay relatively healthy

  21. Snoo-19445

Depends if we continue to be injury-prone. The second line (or lack thereof) will make or break next year’s season IMO.

    I’d say 9th-last us a good guess.

  22. samisnotreal

Send are definitely hitting the floor next season

  23. Plane-Ad4820

How tf are you not putting Utah here?

  24. Snow-Wraith

Continued suckage. The endless pains of a rebuild only to end up like Buffalo.

  25. Positive_Shift1844

Agreed, way too early. Maybe today if no changes and no improvment of the roster and bad luck along the way we could finsih bottom 9. But IMO there is no chance we finish below 20. With the continued improvement I think the Habs will be right on the playoff bubble.

  26. El_Fuego19

Habs will make the playoffs next year. It’s time
