  1. Without the tkachuk trade tho this doesn’t probably happen if tkachuk went somewhere else like St. Louis we probably aren’t having this discussion lol

  2. if you look at the 3 years before the trade you would have seen he isnt a force. just had one good year. and the calgary GM deserves all the backlash, he didnt look back in time he just salivated at the last season in florida. he still has time to make himself worth the money but it doesnt look good for huberdeau

  3. when he was with the Panthers, he wasn't 'the guy' that kept them from getting to the finals or possibly winning the cup…he's set for life and may just be finding out what some of those Florida fans are really like…

  4. Newsflash, most players don't care about the Cup. They want as much money as possible in the short careers they have. It's literally their job.

  5. It is the system more than the players in Calgary that is stifling Huberdeau. Plus, he didn't play with Barkov in Fla. except on the PP. He played with Bennett and Duclair.

  6. To every site adding functionality to be the next CapFriendly… please, for the love of the Gods, add a dark mode to your sites!

  7. Us real Panthers fans have no animosity towards the guy.. He stuck around for some real tough times.

10m+ at 38 is just too much. I loved that trade from the get go from a roster perspective.

  8. I don't miss Hubey in Panthers at all, super soft complimentary forward. Though if I remember correctly he wanted more money in next contract than Florida was prepared to pay to him due his age and overall usefulness, so they were more than happy to offload him first change they got. In that sense Florida was super lucky that Thachuk wanted out of Calgary at the same time.

Funny enough if that contract money memory serves me right, had he been less greedy Florida might still have Hubey instead of Thachuk. So in some alternative universe Florida still has first round exits 😛

  9. A few years ago, the NHL youtube channel did separate videos with the top 10 plays of the year for Barkov and Huberdeau. There was a lot of overlap. I think we now know who was the stick that stirred that drink.

  10. Huberdeau has shitloads of money, he don't care. It's the Flames fans and team that should be sick of their stomachs.

  11. No, the real story here is that the video shows that the most recent guy added to the Elite Prospects database is named Batbold Galsansanjaa! 😂

  12. Related note: Any team that is considering throwing the bag at Draisaitl when he hits UFA better look at the Huberdeau contract as a cautionary warning.

  13. Buddy they traded him and got MULTIPLE valuable assets…. do the math…. he is a good player.

  14. I didn’t hate Huby, was a pretty solid scorer during the season. Biggest knock on the guy was he disappeared during the playoffs. He’s the opposite of Sam Bennett!

  15. Almost reminds me of when Boston traded away Joe Thornton. Not quite, but almost.

  16. You are a clown. Never subscribe to you. Flames in a bad position did what they could. Hub is a class act. Never once belittling anyone. Numbers are down but the talent level in Calgary not comparable. So Johnny Hockey check his numbers out. Weegar stud future Captain. Never be so dumb again. Fyi was Calgary forced into this

  17. Getting chucky was HUGE but as a cats fan Hubby was a staple for the panthers he’ll always get a positive reception when he comes to sunrise by no means will he ever be seen in a bad light in cats history
