My wishlist based on free agents strictly:
Top 6 – Guentzel
Bottom 6 – Stephenson
Top 4 – Pesce
Bottom 4 – Zadorov/Cole
Goalie – Stolarz if I had to pick somebody
If this is true, it’s good that Fitz recognizes how much more talent this team needs. Lot of people out there saying we just need a goalie and we’ll be good, we need so, so much more than that lol.

This could just be smoke from Fitzy. He seems plenty shrewd to not telegraph everything
I mean let’s be real you can sub out “The Devils” and replace it with about 70% of the league. This is a whole nothing statement that means, “We’re looking to upgrade our team across the board.”
Not really much of a surprise, though I would have expected it to be two bottom-6 forwards and only the top-4 defenseman without looking for a bottom-4 as well (not that I’m against it… but clearly some defense are getting shipped out if that is the case).
It’s not that every player we have has to be a carbon-copy of what the Panthers have… but yes we need to surround our core with more Panthers-like players.
Fitz has pretty much indicated exactly that at the press conference where he talked about wanting/emphasizing « hockey players » and not just « guys who are really good at playing hockey » along with the signing of MacDermid. We can’t waste another year not having at least 3 different guys who fit that mold more, even at the expense of a non-core favorite player or two.
