That Hronek signing feels like too much, too long to me, considering their current predicament.
The disrespect to Hughes, Hronek just got signed for the same deal and he's making the same amount as him and producing half has much points. Crazy. Also the Canucks have enough for both Zadorov and Myers also. You need big Defensemen in your line up or you will get bullied again like a few years ago before you got Myers and Zadorov.
Package mikheyev and lekkermakki in a trade.
Zadorov is a third pairing guy with added trucculence. Not smart to mess up the team cap by overpaying for a 5-6 defenceman.

I don't want another era of Benning contracts and trades. I'd rather let these players go and save the cap space and find some other replacements or save it for trade deadline when teams might be desperate to unload.
If they move on from Joshua and Zadorov, we need to rely on the gritty players like Pettersson and Hughes to pick up the slack and take care of the soft players.

EP 40 should have taken less . Max 10 . Miller's better and he took 8 . % of the Cap a player consumes is very important . If they added 4 new teams . Then you could afford players that take up 10 % + of your cap .
I wish there were lower salaries and more incentive Laden Contracts . Canucks Players that are at the Core seem to take care of the team Spirit . They Have Great Coaching and Management as well as Ownership . It was So Cool to see the Rink With The White Towels . Listening to our Players Reaction to That . Told me we have a Great Team ! On and Off The Ice .
Garland is great as we’ve seen. Probably the only issue is Benning quadrupled his salary after trade. We’d all feel great at 3M.
Looks good to me. The rest of the cap should be spread out into the line up. They need a few middle six Forwards who can score and don’t cost more than 4M and 2nd/3rd line 2way D again max 4M so the depth is reinforced… don’t think they need another big contract… unless they trade some money out… 🤷🏻♂️

This reflects how much the UFAs believe Patterson will lead them and bring them the Stanley Cup after his mediocre playoff performance. Imagine if the Canucks sign someone like Mcdavid, mackinon, who would step up the game instead of disappear during the playoff, they would be more willing to take a pay cut for the glory of a cup ring
Just based on what you wrote on the side in blue, IMO Zadorov for 6mil not worth, Joshua for 3mil worth, Lindholm for 7mil not worth.
If the summer isn't interesting regarding Hockey, I'll be surprised. I predict a lot of bridge deals league wide.
