  1. This conversation is a celebration of women's achievements and contributions to society, highlighting our invaluable role in shaping the world around us.😛

  2. Go Devils! Good trade both ways, I’ll miss Bahl but I’m happy we should have solid goaltending next season

  3. Nice job by Fitz. Thankfully its not the pick this year too so if the Devils bounceback its going to pick a pick in the 20's and who cares at that point.

  4. I'll miss Bahl's size, but he wasn't exactly playing that great. I was hoping to see him develop but oh well. Happy to get Markstrom, welcome to Jersey!

  5. Well, there's one option off the table for my Leafs to upgrade the goaltending heading into next season. Best of luck to Markstrom in New Jersey, their goaltending should be much better now.

At least my pipe dream of Saros + for Marner is still alive for now lol

  6. I’m a very happy Devils fan. He isn’t a permanent solution due to his age but will be solid for the next couple of years. I really hope we develop Schmid and Daws well during this time so that one of them might be ready when he leaves or retires.

  7. Not a fan of the trade. Devils just got smaller and less physical. nolan Foote, and a pick wouldve been better, since Foote is overhyped by Dev fans

  8. As a devils fan I'm happy the trade is said and done bc hearing all of what we possible could have given up was sickening at time but this I can live with.

  9. Flames my favorite team and devils are my #2 so I'm loving this trade. Devils finally get a goalie and flames get a defensive defenseman I like and a 1st round pick to help their future. Personally, with my eyeball test I'd compare Bahl to Gudbranson. After flames traded half their D core away last year they need some guys like this

  10. Best thing about this is the devils still have their top ten pick for this year. Let's go for a top six forward to pair with Jacky Boy tons of cap space still!

  11. Very happy for the Devils on this one… You need a new perimeter board now with Arizona gone..m

  12. i like Markstrom but i feel any first rounder is kind of expensive for a goalie his age. plus Bahl was one of the very few devils with imposing size, and also with a favorable contract. for this price i would rather have gotten Ulmark. but maybe Boston's trade price was way too high

  13. For me, as a Flames fan, this is sad news, but probably inevitable news. They didn't have room to keep Markstrom, Vladar, and Wolf on their NHL roster. They obviously don't want to trade away Wolf any time soon, and since it seemed the relationship with Markstrom had already been soured, he was the obvious choice.

Plus in terms of return value, Flames will have gotten more back for Marky than they would have for Vladar. I don't know much about Bahl, but Calgary definitely could use a defensive-defenceman or two in their lineup.

  14. Not so bad for Calgary. They seem to be building a bigger team. Markstrom wanted out, Wolf wants in, and with a no trade clause, it kinda limited what Conroy could do.

  15. as a flames fan the return is decent, nothing to complain about except maybe the retained, but seeing conroy mention something about "as well as acquiring important draft capital, while maintaining our commitment as a playoff competitive team", its so over, we needed a rebuild, not a retool with a half ahl team at this point, its so over (i'm never gunna doom harder)

  16. Unless devils win the cup, this is a win for the flames. Dont know what devils fitzgerald is doing… last year they lose severson, graves.. their D was worse.. they were pretty solid D the year before… for me it wasnt the goalies lasy year..

They should have done some scouting in europe and get a veteran tendy there for cheep. That 1 rounder they could have used for a solid D…

Get som better gm devils… thats just circus

  17. Calgary did great! A 1st and a mid-grade prospect for a goalie who is well past 30 and doesn’t want to be here? Perfect

  18. Funny how this trade could impact the Habs depending how many games Jake Allen gets to play with Markstrom in net.

  19. Finally traded but not the exact trade that the Calgary Flames are hoping for. Young defenseman looks like a nice replacement for Nikita Zadorov and get a first rounder in 2025 where the Calgary Flames pick is in limbo.

  20. Obviously JM had no intention on going elsewhere…. This trade was weak…. Honestly if Connie was held hostage he did ok otherwise It wax underwhelming

  21. I am a bit surprised that neither Daws or Schmid were included in this deal. I can only assume that one of them may get moved separately.

  22. That’s hopefully one problem solved for the Devils. Now what about that defense? Is just hope and pray Dougie doesn’t get hurt again or are they gonna bring in reinforcements?

  23. Both teams got what progressed them further towards their current goals. I'll miss Marky in Calgary, but looking forward to Bahl and whatever that 2025 (or 2026) first looks like.
