Devils seem to be all in for this coming season. I wonder if they're looking for a high caliber D Man like Thomas Chabot from my Senators for their 10th overall pick. I think the Flames getting a 1st next year is fair value and they have another really young prospect Goalie (Dustin Wolf) who may be ready to become their full time starter next year. Bahl is big but not very physical and was mentally soft last season. He’s got good upside though and played well against the Rags in the first round a couple years ago. Potential is there to be very good. Wish him well, but I’m happy with this deal for Markstrom.
Its ok not great return for Markstrom, feels rushed to me. The one thing about Markstrom is hes good one year and then bad the next over the past 6 seasons, which no one has really mentioned

For all you Calgary trolls out there, try to understand. Markstrom held all the cards in this deal, and as Mike points out, tied Conroy's hands. Plus, for a few years now, the goalie market has been very soft. Their position is just to inconsistent to bet the house on.

Wich thank god for that also to retain sal there should have been a late pick… also why is Conroy only trading with 2 teams?…. I hope for the best expect the worst. I feel with all Conroy's trades hes been finessed out of a late picks he probably could have got

Dawson Mercer was never getting traded for Markstrom so I'm not sure why this man keeps bringing his name up. It was a 24 1st rd pick and Holtz. Flames backed out.
This trade and the Dubois to Washington for Kemper. Shes gonna be a fun off season.
CGY got a 1st and a young, big bodied D-man with good potential. This is more than fair for a 35 y.o. goalie.
