I don't understand what they see in Kaako. People keep comparing him to Lafreniere but they are two completely different players. Laf actually shoots the puck. He just doesn't look comfortable out there.

To me a STAR season for Kaako would be a 20G 20A 40PT season with solid defensive numbers. I'd consider him a success with those numbers consistently.

The best thing for the Rangers & Kakko would be to trade him. The only thing I like about him is his shot.
Mika prob had 14 even strength goals this season y’all need to open your eyes, kakko is the least of our worries playing 12 mins a night. Half of Mika’s points are because he’s a power play merchant remember if Mika who gets paid 9 mil a year only nets 14 goals even strength in 82 games your out of your mind asking 20 goals from a player that gets benched so we can watch Mika skate like he is skiing and miss the net from 5 feet away multiple times a night.
The ability is there, but he needs to work on his game, more speed, situational awareness and not holding on to the puck so much.
Kakko is going to improve…it's just a matter of how soon. KEEP HIM!
