Calgary is making markstrom's point with the 2 technically conflicting reports out now, one which implies markstrom forced the move and strong armed it so it was only devils, kind of absolving the team of any potential backlash to the return (even though they technically could have just kept him if they didn't like the offer, but that is surplus to the point) and the other report which says he was open to moves to more teams.
Its silly either way because broadcast media around the nhl is so kid gloves anyway that both cases have been turned into wins for both teams regardless how it went down and all parties won the trade because no "insider" wants to make anybody mad like, ever.
I literally saw one guy go to a more Calgary friendly source and say that Calgary won the trade, that bahl would be zadorov but cheaper, that conroy did what he could, and 36 (remember that number) year old markstrom has been unreliable and inconsistent, and later appear on a NY metro area medium and talk about bahl being a 6 or 7th at best ceiling player, that 34 (hah) year old markstrom was vezina calibre. Basically Dave meltzer style journalism.
Anderson out of Calgary is rumored to be available. Maybe Anderson and a pick for fourth overall. Maybe see if they can get Mangiapane at half salary with it.
So is Markstrom going to be surprised when he finds out people lie in New Jersey too?

Not bringing back Erika is a huge hit. I always really enjoyed her insight and passion while watching my Devils even when we suck. At least we still have Dano on tv and Chico on radio

I guess my rants on getting Okposo out of the line up finally worked. Don't think its that big of a difference, but so frustrating watching him. Hope Markstrom does well in NJ and the Devils get back into the playoffs. Best friend is from that area so we always go to Panthers Devils games. More fun when both teams are doing well. I still find it funny there are trades before the season is officially over. 1 more day. Time to go to the gym. Rehab sucks!
