I miss this guy every day. Absolute class act. Sad that the cup isn’t coming home to Canada, but glad PoMo finally won one.
PoMo is a class act, he knew his time was up in Winnipeg, but still loves the team and city! Happy for him!!!
Shows that the reason Jets didnt make it to the cup was not due to a coach. The team just isnt there .

I know in Winnipeg it doesn’t make sense, but I am an Oilers fan. I was 12 in 2003 and me and a buddy just randomly chose Edmonton as our team, not knowing anything of the history between Edmonton and Winnipeg from back in the days before we were even born haha. And for whatever reason I stuck by them.
I love watching McDavid play. He’s easily one of my favourite active players. I wanted to see this team win so badly, and see McDavid win a cup. But if there’s one silver lining I can take from tonight it’s 1000% seeing Paul Maurice win the Stanley Cup. He just beyond deserves it. He’s a class act through and through and I loved his commitment to this city. Shame it took him going elsewhere but he’s definitely earned this one.

He had his ups and downs in Winnipeg, but tell me that comment didn’t just hit you right in the feels. Good for Paul. Anybody that gracious and humble in a moment of victory probably deserves it.
